A comparison of two houses
We all desire to live in a decent house, and perhaps in a quiet neighborhood. Whereas to some this dream is a reality to others it is work in progress. It is also true that having a house comes with comfort and happiness especially during family times. Equally, owning a house is a sign of belonging to a certain socioeconomic class, which is why people work hard day and night to buy their dream home. In the last two years, I have been lucky to live in two different houses thanks to my promotion at work. What amazes me is that despite the fact that the two houses are in different locations they have a lot of similarities and dissimilarities.
To begin with, let me highlight the similarities. The houses have a similar front appearance since they all belong to one company. The same applies inside the two houses considering that they both have three bedrooms, a dining room, kitchen, bath, living room, and an upstairs balcony. Also, the houses are both fitted with a wooden floor. Both living rooms look modern with wide windows facing the swimming pools at the rear side of the houses. Also, both houses are well ventilated, and the walls are painted white with some ancient decorations hanging on some of the walls. A few meters away from the swimming pools, both houses have beautiful botanical gardens. The flowers and herbs in the gardens are neatly grown in lines with an open spot in the middle where families can gather for relaxation.

Coincidentally, the two houses are located along quiet streets, with a few cars and people being spotted driving or walking by the streets.
Aside from being located in different parts, one in Brooklyn and the other in Riverdale, the two house also have a number of differences. The house in Brooklyn has bigger rooms than the house in Riverdale. Also, the bigger house in Brooklyn has a car port whereas the other house doesn’t. The master bedroom for the Riverdale house is on the ground floor whereas the master bedroom for the house in Brooklyn is upstairs. Considering that the Brooklyn house is for company executives, its kitchen is well furnished with cabins, modern sinks, and heaters, unlike the other house. Also, the house in Brooklyn is fitted with CCTV cameras and security alarms something which is not replicated at the house in Riverdale. Equally, although the swimming pools at the back of the houses have similar designs, the one at Brooklyn is bigger. Lastly, the house in Brooklyn has a bigger outdoor open space as compared to the house in Riverdale.
To sum it up, the similarities and differences between the two houses are many. The houses have a similar basic design, and the rooms are equal in number. The outside facilities are also similar since they both have a swimming pool and a botanical garden. However, the house in Riverdale can be said to be modest while the house in Brooklyn can be said to be well-appointed. This is because the Brooklyn house has bigger rooms, well-furnished kitchen and a car port, unlike the house in Riverdale. Security at the Brooklyn has also been taken into consideration unlike in the Riverdale house. All in all, both houses are decent, and I believe they epitomize the ideal home for a majority of Americans.
