Best BuyAs an American multinational consumer electronics retailer, Best Buy Company has in the recent past built a considerably large customer base (Best Buy 1). Notably, one of the reasons for this increase in the number of clients is the company’s customer orientation. In other words, Best Buy Company tends to put a lot of focus on their customers, and they seem to care more about them. The company has a well-established customer service that knows its roles. However, the department still has some of the weaknesses that they need to address lest the company will lose some of its clients to the competitors. In this regard, this paper seeks to highlight some of these weaknesses.
Queuing in the call line is the first challenge that the Best Buy customer service faces. Whenever clients call the customer care, it is always rare for their phone calls to go through and get received instantly by one of the company’s support staff. Clients have in the past complained over this, but the issue is yet to be resolved. If a solution is unavailable, then most of the clients would be forced to consider moving to other companies offering similar products.
The dynamism of the company’s website is also another key challenge to the firm’s customer care. Even though the company’s website is more than just a brochure, it is not that satisfying to the clients. First, it is not easy for the clients to find the answers they search for in the website due to one of the two reasons.

It is either because the information is lacking or because the information available on the website is not up to date. The company also has a challenge when it comes to e-communication. Notably, when a client or a potential client enquires especially via an email, it takes the company close to one week before it can respond to the questions raised. Undoubtedly, such challenges especially delay in responding to clients’ inquiries are some of the customer turnoffs that companies face (Kumar and Reinartz 39). Other turnoffs include lack of updated information on the websites and long queuing in the calling lines.
