North Country film
Introduction
The movie depicts how women are portrayed in their workplace and the many obstacles they face in the work industries which are dominated by men. It mainly focuses on women’s work at the mines something that considered a man’s job. In search of the success, the women in the film find themselves being harassed and tormented as they are used as sexual objects by men. The male co-workers in the movie consider women as sexual objects citing that it has always been the norm at the mines (Korzec, 304). The main character Josey Aimes shows how women who face sexual harassment from their violent husbands leave their families to make the life for themselves with no support from anyone.
A severe obstacle that the women in the movie faced was lack of support since working in the mines was considered a man’s job. There was no any support that they obtained from their male co-workers and instead were viewed as sex objects. Their images were tainted with inappropriate paintings on their walls. With the fear of losing their jobs, the women in the movie find it hard to stand up against the sexual harassments they face since they consider the job as their only source of living. Lack of support from their co-workers both male and female is the only major obstacle that the women face as they cannot air their problems and be listened to (Korzec, 306).
The harassments they face range from sexual harassment to the intimidation by their male counterparts.

Wait! Commuincations paper is just an example!

The moment the women start working in the mines, they get introduced to their boss who takes the opportunity to abuse and harasses them sexually. They also see their pictures and the profanity bearing their names written on the wall. Most of the guys who work with them mainly talk filthy and try to intimidate them whenever an opportunity appears (Korzec, 317). The women in the movie even discover obscene surprises in both their lockers and lunch boxes. The harassments are intended to make them feel inferior and as sex objects.
