Abstract
From the article, it is clear that a number of literature exists on the topic of cognitive failure. The publication is a systematic of 21 literature reviews that were studied to gather information related to the topic. Cognitive failure occurs due to substance abuse and neuropsychological disorders. The essay discusses some particular traumas, anxiety and mood and schizophrenia, on the one hand, while substances like ecstasy, cannabis, and alcohol among other are highlighted on the other. Majorly, the theory that informed the discussion in this article is the assumption that substance abuse and mental disorder increase chances of cognitive failure. This short essay investigates the variables used in the systematic literature review and the theories applicable. Also highlighted in the document are the research methods used and the thesis statement from the original article. It is important to note that in the concluding paragraph are some of the insights I gained after going through the paper. Conclusively, the document does not point out the relationship between substance abuse and cognitive failure.
Keywords: Cognitive failure, neuropsychological disorder, substance abuse.

Wait! evaluation on Record Title: A systematic review of the relationship between psychological disorders or substance use and self-reported cognitive failures. paper is just an example!

The two undertook a systematic review of past literature to determine the relationship between cognitive failure and the performance of the neuropsychology. Carrigan and Barkus conducted a methodical scholarly assessment of 21 papers on the relationship between cognitive failure and psychological disorders and substance abuse. From the findings, it is evident that subjective cognitive failures have no close relationship with neuropsychological outcomes in any disorder but reflects on emotional deregulation (Carrigan & Barkus, 2016). The article tries to paint a picture of the association between cognitive failure and various psychological disorders.
The paper tests some theories and the dependent variable, in this case, is a cognitive failure. According to the publication, cognitive failure is dependent on psychological disorder and substance abuse by the victim. Therefore, the variable under test in this article is a cognitive failure. On the other hand, the independent variables in the study are psychological disorder and substance abuse. These two variables stand alone in and cannot be affected by other factors like cognition. The authors in this publication used quantitative research method in coming up with the result. The technique involved a systematic review of past literature in establishing the connection between mathematical expression and empirical observations (Kirk, 2017). Statistical data from the publication are deeply analyzed to determine a normative approach. The population in this study included individuals with the following psychological disorders, anxiety, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress and affective disorder. The theory under this study assumes that cognitive failure in most instances results from a stressful situation.
In conclusion, the study has been relevant to me since it highlights the vital concept of the relationship between cognitive failure and neuropsychological outcomes among some victims. As a student, I am now capable of authoritatively pointing out the existing relationship between cognitive failure, neuropsycological disorder and substance abuse which are clearly highlighted in the paper.
