A Research Paper On Reasons Why There Is A Gender Imbalance In The Workplaces
The purpose of this research is to determine the reasons why gender imbalance exists in almost all the working places. I will perform this study by use of mixed approach of both qualitative and quantitative research methods. I would like these two because qualitative techniques will assist in exploring. This means that it will help in gaining an understanding of the primary reasons, motivations, and opinions to my research topic. Quantitative means, on the other hand, will assist me in quantifying my research by coming up with numerical data that will help me make an informed decision based on the sample results collected from the population (Brannen, 2015). The process of conducting my research will involve interacting with different people in different workplaces after which I will make an informed decision by applying the quantitative skills to the sampled data from the field.
Data Collection
Collecting of the data will utilize the qualitative procedures. In my research, I will make use of the following processes while noting the number of men versus women in all the areas studied.
Direct observation. I will apply this method to studying people of different genders in different workplaces as they carry out their regular duties. I will utilize focus group by engaging small groups of employees in various institutions and locations have designed to conduct my research.

Wait! Gender imbalance paper is just an example!

Holding this form of technique requires a high level of skills to ensure that the data given by the group is very relevant to the research question. In scenarios where a team is not applicable, I will make use of the in-depth interview. This will demand one-on-one set up. To make it easier, I will design specific questions that are in line with my topic of study. Designing of a questionnaire with issues relevant to my research would also be an excellent method (Thomas, 2013). I would move around in various job settings and give out to people to fill their opinions in the spaces provided. Questions in the questionnaires would be easy to understand to achieve the desired outcome.
Data Analysis
This will make use of the quantitative research technique hence translating of the data collected into numerical or mathematical figures. To make it more relevant, I would prepare a rationale and a reference to cover the analysis.
Reporting of the Finding
This will involve displaying of the analyzed data in a manner that is more significant and easy to be understood by other parties. This would mean drawing graphs, to show the relationship between the numbers of male working employees against female employees (Nemoto, 2013). A table can also be used to give the comparison of reasons why we have more males working than the females.
In summary, for any statistical research approach to be efficient one should consider some factors. First is the research problem. One should be very clear about what is looking for. Second is the methodology to be applied in conducting research. A suitable method states the area to be studied, methods and tools to be used in data collection and the analysis methods to be used. An excellent conclusion should be provided to explain whether the problem being investigated was well answered. From the data analyzed, one should also be able to suggest meaningful recommendations to be implemented in future. Limitations of the research should also be noted.
