The Greek Civilization
The Greek civilization was the basis of many key developments in the democratic, social and philosophical teachings and different forms of governments that are in use in the modern world were the basis of the Greek civilization. The Greek scholars developed a belief that human beings can achieve their human perfect balance and their proportion in any underlying circumstances whatsoever (Sambursky 124).
The Greek scholars developed harmonic epistemes. This was catapulted by their mechanism for measuring and judging both the freedom and truth relationships. As a result, Greeks developed various theories that supported their belief in harmonious existence. The argument behind many of these theories was meant to promote and achieve human balance in all the undertakings in the society (Sambursky 124).
The Greeks hold to the belief that harmony was the basis of proportion, balance, and equality in the society. According to A.A Long (1994), harmony was seen as the something balanced, proportional and ratio-like. The development in the belief in harmonious existence according to the Greeks was therefore fundamental for peaceful coexistence, balance and equal proportionality in the Greek society (Russell 57).
There was also the development of the use of music by the Greeks. Greek scholars hold to the notion that musical harmony was also key in ensuring balance a proportionality in the society. Greece also developed political harmony that was meant to promote balance and proportionality on the political filed.
