5. Sampling issues and options
The “Sampling of Options and Issues” stage is critical to all research processes. In the child care treatment program, it is initiated to assist the substance-abusing African-American women. The child is expected to watch over the parent at every stage, guaranteeing that she takes the medication and avoid substance abuse. These are adjunctive service, which is considered to encourage the patients to continue with their medication. Variety of these cases affect middle-aged women between the age of 18 and 35. Substance abuse among African-Americans mainly affect the pregnant and adolescent women. The treatment program is based on the African Centered Theory (Poitier et al., 1999). It incorporates the children, who aim at preserving the family.
Sampling the data through the African-Centered theory is a must for the program’s success. Cluster sampling on the affected population, its demographics, and the exact locations of the patients should be considered to guarantee total protection of the society. Children should be advised and taught how to monitor their parent and ensure a successful treatment and recovery process. The patient must take appropriate medications as recommended by the clinician (Poitier et al., 1999). Additionally, clinicians must conduct a follow-up and fill the formal reports on the treatment plan and progress of the patient.
It is recommendable to state the design sample and study objectives of the program to guarantee that all sampling issues and options are addressed.

Communication between patients, clinicians, and children must be enhanced as it is critical to the success of the treatment process. All problems associated with collecting data, including the hard-to-reach target drug users and confidentiality concerns, must be considered (Choi & Ryan, 2007).
Regardless, continuous research is critical as new sampling issues, and data collecting problems continue to emerge due to the increased communication and technological advancement (Roozen et al., 2010).
