Online Dating and Relationships
All cultural and social lifestyles nowadays change. Finding partners through blind dates change dramatically that many television and digital media sites offer a hassle-free dating on the World Wide World. In other words, the traditional way of dating has undergone beyond time due to the advent of technology and the Internet. People date their partners and engage in certain relationships online. For example, courting as the steps in dating, broadcast media and digital media showcase The Bachelor, The Bachelorettes, Blind Dates, and many others. As the courting and dating system between two people change, the online dating as a means for finding relationships metamorphoses that people cannot escape.
Online dating in the digital media transforms everything. When people say courting, for example, it means they are going to show emotions by becoming philanthropic since they give chocolates, flowers, cards, and many others. In order to achieve their goal, they always give what two people need online. They tempt to use these social networking sites that make them feel convenient. The possible effects when using social media to date someone online holds both the positive and the negative impacts. By comparing and contrasting, conventional dating appears to be two people walking side by side, watching sunset and sunrise together, eating meals, and traveling together.

Wait! Online dating and relationships.. paper is just an example!

Today, people especially teenagers tend to date whoever they like through social networking sites. In the modern civilization, tons of sites are easy to access and for free. Teenagers can mingle with the different kinds of people who have different personalities (McCarthy, 2018). It seems fine to understand that people who may date can interact with everyone around the globe. They can express their sentiments through digital media, and enliven the distance affairs. In the end, the social media sites will boost their confidence to share their emotions and sentiments as they can create better relationships.
However, online dating is different. Regarding online dating, the two people may not have the assurance to have a long-term goal. If one dates online, he or she may have possibilities that their relationships will last for a couple of weeks or if long enough, few months. In traditional dating, people can go to the houses of their partners and ask permission of the parents. It sounds formal. However, when it comes to online dating, permission from the parents is no longer necessary (Ess, 2014). In this case, these two people who date and love each other do not need a conventional pattern and culture to follow. They can set their time to go out when they decide to meet each other. On a harsh outcome, people especially women become victims of sexual harassments. Because of online dating, people meet privately, or worse, engage in risky acts. In this case, it is hard to distinguish a good from a bad person on the social media.
Furthermore, online dating transforms and masks people’s identity through the social networking sites. People can pretend to be a different person through social networking sites, and they can be very kind, very intelligent, or a very hard working person in social media. If they date online, they have a happy relationship because they dream of their loved ones. In other words, they can pretend what happens to the real essence of dating (Ess, 2014). As suggested, when people date other people, they should show the real people and do never pretend. In the end, online dating makes people pretend in order to take advantage of their partners.
Indeed, the digital media in a form of online dating offers a bad and good effect. Based on the given situations, people can completely know each other and connect with one another. Social media sites as channels for online dating help build connections online. However, they also face the danger of pretentions and lies since other people on the social media sites may tell lies. Some may be lucky enough to find their love life through online dating and some may not. Indeed, people can handle things when they come to online dating.
