Shaping strategic direction
The organization leader has a role in coming up with a vision and mission to shape the strategic direction. The core of leadership is a strategy, and it is also the heart of policy. The leader is supposed to set the mission and vision to create purpose. Moreover, he is required to establish the goals and objectives. They are the ones that will support the idea made thus shaping the strategic direction. Then he is supposed to craft the strategy. That will allow flexibility among other variables.
Aligning Values and Culture
The leader has the task of communicating about the organization values. When he talks about them, then the rest of the workers will become aware of those values and cultures. The leader is as well required to hire and grow talent. When the right people are chosen to serve the organization, then it will be easy for the leader to align the cultures and values of the organization. The systems of the organization should correspond to the culture and values of the organization (James, 12).
Change Management
The leader should make everyone to adapt to a changing mentality. People tend to resist the proposed change more so when it comes abruptly. Therefore, it is the responsibility of the leader to start putting people into the changing mentality for flexibility when the change happens. Furthermore, he is supposed to Cleary outline the vision and reason for the transition to the staffs and communicates effectively.

He should also be ready to take into account any challenge that may come and confront it. Staying connected with the teams will also be of great help.
