In most business activities, conflicts must arise due to significant differences. It is an essential part of any dealings among people and business entities. As such, an organization should have the capacity to solve any dispute to maintain its operations as well as staying focused on the set objectives and goals. There are five main dispute resolution styles namely: collaborating, compromising, avoiding, competing, and accommodating. In our case, the best conflict resolution strategy the manager should use is collaboration. This is the most viable forms of settling dispute since both parties their goals. It is a win-win situation since there are no losers. The approach involves re-structuring the conflict to create a larger space that can accommodate everyone`s ideas. However, the primary challenge with this strategy is that it requires a high degree of trust and all concerned parties must be on board.

Merging organizational culture is a challenging task for any business entity as it involves numerous aspects. One of the strategies utilized is assimilation. In a majority of the cases, the assimilation approach happens when the staff of the acquired firm embraces the cultural values of the acquiring company. Usually, assimilation works best if the organization being attained has weak and dysfunctional culture. Consequently, the culture of the firm acquiring the other is robust and aligned with the external business climate (Pinder 10).
