The darkest day of my life
Betrayal, fear, and frustration clouded my mind when my mother told me that they were going to separate with my father. The same day at school I had lost my girlfriend, Angy to my best friend. The semester was coming to an end, and by the flow of events meant I was sure of failing in my examination. . All the relationships I valued were falling apart, and I had to seek for physical relief. My friend Mark offered a relief by taking me to one of his friend’s house parties ten blocks from our house. “Come on! it’s going to be a relief, you will get another girl from the party, let’s have fun.” Mark insisted, but I was reluctant to the idea. I thought about it for a while and realized it was the best option considering the following day was a weekend.
It was 9 pm when we reached the party scene, outside the house I saw bottles of liquor strewn on the lawn. People were seated talking, holding drinks, and some were kissing all over. The scene switched my mind into a mode of carelessness, I remember that was my first time to take a beer. My parents were strict concerning night outs leave alone the night parties; that day had I sneaked via the window through Mark‘s help. One of Mark’s friends ushered us in with an introduction to the crowd. The music was so loud, and people had to shout to be heard. The room was a little dark and people were dancing and drinking others were smoking, and everyone’s seemed to be having fun.

Wait! personal essay paper is just an example!

“Hey boy what’s your name? Can we have a dance?” I was not a good dancer but before I knew it, I had been pulled to the dance floor. The crowd was jeering, and I had to pull up one of the dancing moves I had seen on Television, which turned out perfect. Her name was Emmy, she guided me to the roof top and offered me more drinks. Our conversation blew my wonders away, and I attained a certain form of relief and satisfaction.
No sooner had finished my seventh bottle of beer than I heard the police siren. The crowd turned into chaos; people were running helter-skelter and screaming police! Police! I didn’t know what to do, but Emmy was ingenious as usual; she jumped from the rooftop to the ground as a sign that I can also do it. I jumped and that was incredible, she had a car and she wanted to drive. She was drunk than I was but what option did I have? Since I didn’t know how to drive. She was driving fast which was very scary, but she assured me that she had been driving for years, and I should relax.
I lay on my side with the lower part of my body trapped with a seething pain in my hip passing throughout my body. The car had capsized, and Emmy had lost her consciousness from the impact of the airbag. The car’s hood was feeling like a monster hand above me; I tried to pull off in vain.I attempted to yell but it was like the noise was returning into my lungs, I noticed that were both bleeding, but Emmy had lost a lot of blood and fainted. My focus had started to blur, and I was scared I was going to die without my parent knowing where I was. In that moment believed I was going to die and all the noise from the passing by cars fading I felt so helpless. On that ground, I started to count my loss that day and wondered what curse had befallen me.
“Doctor he is awake! Doctor over here!” My parents were there, and the person calling for the doctor sounded like my mother’s voice. I was recovering my vision and hearing sensation but could not even move a figure. I was lying on the hospital bed, my head and left leg were plastered with medical bandage. I recovered my vision, and I saw my mother shading tears and kissing me as if I had raised from the dead. She seemed so happy hugging my father passionately; she told me it was not going to happen, but I couldn’t understand what she meant. “The patient needs a break come after two hours let clinicians work on him” the doctor suggested, my mother was showing resistance, but my father took charge. The following day I had recovered my full consciousness, but the doctor recommended that I needed at least a week in the hospital for proper nursing of my major wounds. The doctors confirmed to that Emmy was doing great although she had a fracture in her lower right limb that required her stay at least for a month. My girlfriend visited me at the hospital, and she apologized, and after a discussion and the sympathy we got back again.
On a Thursday mid-morning I was discharged from the Denver hospital. Before we left, I asked the doctor if I could see Emmy. I was allowed and promised her that I would check on her from time to time before her discharge. In my company home was my parents, girlfriend and my aunt, Anna. Everyone seemed so happy, and I was glad to be back to life again. We reached home, and my parents had organized as a huge party for me. My cousins and extended family members were there and the day was so bright will joyful noises. My parents assured me that the idea of separation was no longer part of their plans. I was so happy and promised them that I would never drink again for it had brought pain to many people in my life. My girlfriend, Angy confessed that Dave my best had friend lied that I was having an affair with her best friend. She later realized it was a scheme and broke up with Dave and pledge her full loyalty to me.
In conclusion, I realized that not all days that starts in wrong tone ends the same. I was counting my losses, and in the process of seeking consolation I almost lost my life. My parents learned that all decisions and choices they make, they should consider my opinion. I was a minor, and no charges were pressed, although I was required to write a statement. The federal police came to my home and got all the information they wanted. I took three weeks to get better and resumed schooling. I forgave Dave, but we never became friends as before. The day I was discharged from hospital turned to be among my brightest days in my life.
