To live is the Rarest Thing in the World, Most People Just Exist
Most of us live life as a routine; we are accustomed to a way of living that we think is standard. On weekdays we know we are supposed to wake up very early, prepare for work or school, come back home in the evening, rest or finish up on what we carried from work or school and then do the same the following morning for the entire week, semester and even the whole year. We get so caught up in doing what we think is the set-out procedure and end up ignoring whatever is around us even when going about our daily activities. This is what is described by Oscar Wilde’s quote that most people just exist and fail to live life as they should.
When we go through life without a purpose, we are not living, we merely exist (McGregor 1). This means that to live, everyday one must wake up with a goal. Whatever you do throughout the day should be connected to your purpose of waking up, and this should motivate you to be your best in everything you do. While education is essential, without understanding why education is necessary, whatever we learn will never be useful to us as we will not be able to apply it in fulfilling our dreams. Not having any dreams is a sign that we are just existing and not living.
Living constitutes maximizing the use of the resources we have at our disposal as they are only there for a season. The most important resource we have is time. The earlier we realize that we cannot recover lost time, the better we will be at managing our time usage (Prichard 1).

Wait! Reflective Essay paper is just an example!

A person who just exists will go through life and end up with nothing to show for all the time they have had. They end up living a life of regrets, for not dreaming. It is, therefore, vital that we first have dreams and chase after those dreams with all that we have. In that way, in the next years to come, we will look back and be happy with what we have accomplished.
