US Navy Ethics
The naval ethical policy in the US began during the American Revolution. The ethical policy and values have been passed since the beginning of the naval service in about 1775. The ethical policies included both dos and don’ts. Some basic policies which have been passed down since they are still binding now. The ethics of loyalty to the constitution and the laws still imminent as today. Ethical principles were still highly valued more than private gains. The ethics that governed the relationship between different ranks in the department have been the same since the time immemorial. Other ethical values include courage, honesty, and commitment among others. Ethical values promoted good attitudes and actions (Lucas & George, 269).
The US Navy while doing the business of investigating cargo for both import and export were supposed to act without partiality in respect of persons, organization, and groups. Its leaders were expected to be honest and respect and be loyal to the constitution and the ethical principles of their operation more than self-interests and selfish gain. In the process of carrying out businesses, all the members were called to disclose openly all forms of fraud, corruption, misuse, and a waste of resources and even smuggling of drugs to the relevant and appropriate authorities. All the members were supposed to be faithful in paying taxes to the state and Federal government Lucas & George, 578).

They were also trusted to protect the properties of their organization and also provide equal chances for job opportunities to all manner of persons.
First, the dilemma in Navy since one is both professional officer and professional social worker. The duality of the profession brings conflicts in the role they play in the society as a social worker of uplifting the well-being of the citizens as well as protecting the constitution of the United States against both domestic and foreign attack and also follow the orders from the superiors in the government. Second is the dilemma of a multiplicity of duties from family advocacy and support, mental support and alcohol and drug abuse roles among many others. Other dilemmas include serving dual citizens, professional and geographical isolation and chains of command from their hierarchical structure of the military.
I followed the company beliefs since if I were to choose my beliefs I could have gone out of the ethical values of the profession. My beliefs oppose those of the company and will result in the break of the law and breach of the contract. Due to the above dilemmas, it would be better to follow those of the company since it is cherished that the company is put first before self-interest and interest and gain.
I would instead follow the policy of the company because it is meant to benefit much more than my personal interest. However, in situations where I feel too uncomfortable, I will seek clarification from the organization. Additionally, I would choose to commit myself since I am bound by the oath is taken and the need to be faithful and loyal at all times regardless of the situation I maybe passing through.
I would choose my moral views since it would be very tough for me to do a thing that I consider to be morally wrong. If I would, in that case, follow the ethical dictation, I would not have pleasure in pursuing my career. My moral is my strong beliefs which may not be changed at whatever cost. I would not do it just because the society justifies it to be right when it is against my strong beliefs.
