Veganism and animal welfare

The first time I read about Earthlings – a documentary about the use of animals for humans – it was by chance;I was looking for entertainment for a Sunday night. Instantly caught my attention. Having recently read about the rights of animals in an article in the New York Times, I thought it would be an excellent way for a meat consumer like me to learn more about the cause of animal rights, the problems it addresses and the possiblesolutions.
