According to Viejo (2014), VRN in the adolescent stage is a significant problem, not only because of the large percentage of cases of violence and its consequences, but for the stage of life in which adolescents are, where relationsaffective begin to emerge. In addition, they begin to learn and internalize interaction patterns that can prolong until adulthood. As Archer mentions (2000), both men and women can be victims of violence in RN, but given statistics, women are suffering more violence. Therefore, we could affirm that the VRN is as serious, as real and dangerous as violence between more advanced ages couples. The little experience and relational skills that teenagers can have, as well as the lack of autonomy and independence and the pressure of the peer group to be recognized makes both the stereotypes that are created around both sexes and the aggressionsSexist who can occur in a relationship becomes a rather serious problem causing these behaviors to be as normalized, tolerable and everyday (Díaz Aguado in González-Ortega, Echeburúa and Corral, 2008).

Taking into account the object of study of this work, we focus on the VRN, specifically in the adolescence stage. According to the World Health Organization (2017), adolescence is a period between 10 and 19 years. According to Herrera (1999), adolescents go through an evolutionary stage of changes: they begin to discover their own body, identity crisis, identity, impulses and first emotional relationships are formed.

In addition, at this stage, it begins to assimilate what is "normal" and what is not, by forming the first emotional-lovely relationships. An excessively romantic and idealized vision could lead to accepting control and harmful interaction guidelines in our relationships.

The courtship is characterized by being an intimate relationship that arises between two individuals, where there is an attraction and a type of love is experienced gathering behaviors of intimacy and passion, whose purpose isMoreno, Zúñiga and Torres, 1998). In addition, social, technological changes and the plurality of gender perspectives imply a change in the mentality of the courtship, being aware that the relationships of intimacy in youth are also violent (Morales and Rodríguez del Toro, 2012). We must remember that, formerly, the stage of courtship looked like something idyllic, where pure and romantic feelings arose (or at least, it is what they have made us believe for a long time).

In short, specifically defining VRN is a complex task, although some authors define it as a set of violent acts in the context of romantic relationships, where the attraction and abuse of power are combined. According to Durán and Martínez-Pecino (2015), the means to exercise violence can be both verbal, physical, sexual, economic and virtual.
