Trainspotting has a very great cast, and they get it just perfect, classy; however, not at the cost of the conversations, personality or film. McGregor maintains his role both pleasant, but again ugly at the same time and supporting the movie with amazing ease. The supporting cast is outstanding, even if they do not portray the good character of Renton, Bremner is hilarious, Carlyle is fierce, and McKidd is disastrous. Even though not all the roles were well developed, they all perform good stories of themselves, if it is funny or demonstrating how heroin has affected their lives. These characters are humorous, sharp, perfectly played and sternly impressive.
In the piece of poetry, we see Renton’s dilemma. The first words, “choose life” may be understood from a poster, but the fact is that people do not choose life; their choices do not determine their lives and issues regarding fate that eventually makes them exist. No one decides to be born, and neither do they choose the life they live. The Baby Dawn symbolized this, seen after the first voice-over; the audiences do not realize the impending death at this point, but her minimal chances can be noted at a nurturing that results in a pleasing future.
The image in which “the Sick Boy” exists is a gentleman who controls his life with purpose, where choices are unfriendly, calculated, and emotionless. So the audience can determine that ‘the Sick Boy Method’ is concerning enthusiastic oneself time as Renton, but not eagerly quite the drug as he needs to destroy Renton’s fight by demonstrating to him how easy it is.

Trainspotting was intended for a whole generation to determine their life choices. The move does not speak against drug addicts; however, it is possibly more effective than any amount of informative moralizing as it portrays the shocking significances that can occur to the drug users. The mass media might have judged this movie as encouraging the use of drugs, but that is just a misinterpretation of the move. Certainly, the move demonstrates drugs as something enjoyable; however, as Renton says, for what reason do they do it?. The movie evidently displays a great weakness where individuals’ lives are ruined, individuals lives end daily at the expense of getting high. This is true that all these instances are shown in a sophisticated and humorous manner, though there is no question that the film is encouraging the use of drugs in any way.
I think these are the same messages were intended by the writer of the movie. Boyle did an outstanding work of directing a film established on Irvine Welsh’s record breaking story concerning depressed Scottish drug fanatics who cannot survive past the addiction. Their life concentrates around drugs. The film is lively, creative and exclusive just as the writing. It is true that the film may show some the use of drugs as being hilarious at times, for instances, yeah, it may show drugs as Renton’s crazy hallucination; nevertheless, it surely does not idealize them.
The scene that summarizes the movie is when, despite care from families, Renton turn out to be more fed up and miserable and escapes to Swanney’s flat, takes a specific hit, which nearly killed him. He is locked in a room for him to beat his addiction. As he undergoes through serious withdrawal symptoms, Renton’s parents lock him in his room in an attempt to make him withdraw from drugs. Through his severe retreat symptoms, he imagines voices of Diane singing to him; friends are advising him, and Allison’s deceased child is creeping on the roof. The series of illusion is interposed with strange, unreal pictures from a TV game program, with Winton requesting Renton’s parents’ queries concerning HIV. Renton finally woke up by his parents telling him that he needs to get an HIV test. Notwithstanding years of using syringes jointly with addicts, Renton’s test reads negative.
The film utilized exciting colors to overstress the activities and to exaggerate the images on the screen. It was also intended to make the movie excel from other movies forming a huge impact on the audience. It makes it likable and unforgettable. The soundtrack contained the pop art, music, and literature, which was liked by the actors themselves. The film depicts the period perfectly. Each and every scene was as powerful.
