The fact that the exercise got carried out on a school set up where the characters belong to the same age, education level, colour, and another couple of similar things, it can equally work for a more diversified setup. The reason why it would work in such a setting is that despite how small the class was, there was a range of different personal attributes available which the teacher exploited to bring about division in the class (Elliot, 2003). For this case, the use of the colour of the pupil’s eye by their teacher was well thought out to bring out a clear difference. Therefore, having a diverse setting makes it easier for carrying out such an exercise due to the availability of a lot of personal differences. For example, in a setup such as a college, people of different races, colour, language, and other attributes all study together. These students portray individual weaknesses and strengths which others do not exhibit irrespective of their race. One could use such set up to conduct the exercise provided everyone gets adequate information about its objectives to avoid taking things at a personal level.
As a parent, I would be okay with my kids being treated in such a manner at school by their teachers. The reason why I would advocate for such is that, in the process of interacting with their colleagues from different backgrounds at school, kids hear a lot of things both bad and good. Some of these things happen to be entirely different from what they get taught at home (Elliot, 2003).

In most cases, things they learn from their peers develop a negative attitude towards others and would corrupt their morals. Therefore, similarly treating them would enable them to learn life ethics to sharpen their social skill. Learning how to handle and view different people from a range of backgrounds would allow them to appreciate the fact that people are of varying creation and that they all do not possess similar capabilities.
Similarly treating our kids at one point in their childhood would go a long way in developing a world that everyone sees the other as a brother or a sister. It would be a good beginning for establishing global serenity towards the future by nurturing good ethics in our children at their tender age. Perhaps making our kids go through such exercise at our homes would not yield as much as it would at school. As evidenced in the film, the participants during the reunion seem happy and appreciative for having been treated in such a manner as it taught them an expensive life lesson (Elliot, 2003). Respecting and treating other people happens to be the only way that we would find the value of fellow humankind.
Both the 3rd-grade kids and those under probation acknowledge the weight associated with discrimination. Those who got discriminated against felt powerless and hopeless. In both scenarios, the segregated became furious to a point where some lost their temper. Such are the things that result to struggles in our societies which could only get mitigated by respecting each other despite their weaknesses. Another similarity between the two groups during the exercise is that those who got regarded as tops viewed their peers negatively. They believed that whatever thing they did was wrong and the favourites stood a better chance of accomplishing the same in a more informed way. In both exercises, the groups of brown eyed people who got regarded as the inferior persons show hate towards the teacher as a way of communicating the bitterness of their treatment from others (Elliot, 2003).
