In this book humans are not free to decide their own destiny, each one had their own role, which they should continue in their life and in society. They use the learning process through sleep to teach them that the value of society is superior to that of the individual; They were divided into categories, the higher they were more had rights and freedoms but in the same way it was limited by society; The lowest society had much more difficult, dangerous and unpleasant activities.

The highest category was called Alfa, they were the most intelligent and the most handsome, then it was the beta category that was a high middle class, Gamma and Delta were a low middle class and episón was the lowest class of the whole society, they were the leastintelligent and the ugliest.

The most important thing in Utopia was to keep all happy citizens with the Soma pill, so it was forbidden to fall in love, since it could lead them to pain. Mustafa Mond supports the director, he does everything he orders, he tells citizens that the family is not good and that God does not exist, but in reality citizens must obey Henry Ford.

All this changes when the main characters Bernard Marx and Lenina Crown appear in the story, they worked at the incubation plant, everyone wanted to be with Lenina, she lies with Henry and with the rest of the workers. Everyone could have sex with everyone, "everyone belongs to everyone".

Bernard was Alfa but had different characteristics to most, he thought a lot about Lenina and tells her that she would prefer to talk to her than to have sex but see him as a shame.

Bernard manages to listen to a conversation between Henry and his assistant where they speak pure bad things of Lenina, they realize that Bernard was listening to him that they offer a soma pill to forget everything and be happy but he refuses. They must travel to a wild reservation, it was a place where all the people were not had contact with the "happy world". Lenina is surprised when she realizes that the people there are very dirty and smell bad. There they know John "the savage", he read a book by Shakespeare, he was the son of the director of Utopia but kept him secret. Lenina realizes that she is pregnant, that was prohibited in the happy world so she decides to have her baby in the wild reservation.

Lenina takes a lot of soma to feel better, one day she is asleep and John realizes that she is in love with her.

The plot changes when John decides to ask Lenina marriage. She just wants sex because it was what was sought in the world she lived, the two thought very different at that time, they had different cultures, since John did not want only sex and reject her, both came from different places, they thought very different.
