A Reflection on Dreams in the Bible
Introduction
Dreams in the Bible are majorly found in the Old Testament. Prominent dreamers in the Bible include Joseph and Daniel as well as rulers such as Potiphar and other Kings. Apart from being a way through which God communicated his will to the world and his people, dreams and their interpretation in the Bible are seen as a show of great Godly wisdom and intelligence. This write-up identifies three Bible verses connected to dreams, three dreams in line with those verses and also reflects on what God’s message was, as passed through the different dreams.
Amos 3:7
“For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.” (“What Does the Bible Say About Dreams And Visions?” n.p.). This Bible verse illuminates God’s way of communication to His prophets. Whereas worldly dreams are many times forgotten and disjointed by the time we wake up, dreams to prophets always appeared with vivid clarity as in the case of Daniel. At one time (as recorded in Daniel Chapter 2), the King Nebuchadnezzar dreamt, and he called his diviners to not only interpret the dream but also reveal what the dream itself was, without being told. Daniel prays to God and overnight, God interestingly reveals the King’s dream and its interpretation to him with utmost accuracy. The dream is usually called The Story of Five Kingdoms (“Bible Gateway Passage: Daniel 2 – The Message” n.p.).
God revealed his power through Daniel by outshining all other prophets and fortunetellers of the time.

Wait! A Reflection of Dreams in the Bible paper is just an example!

God shows that He alone was the true God and He turned the focus of the King from other people and idols to this God who could reveal the deepest secrets of a king to his prophet, and also give an interpretation of the dream.
Habakkuk 2:3
“For the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end – it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.” (“What Does the Bible Say About Dreams And Visions?” n.p.). At a young age in his father’s house, Joseph dreamt of becoming a ruler over his brothers and parents too. Joseph saw them bowing before him as if worshipping him. Over 20 years later, after everyone forgot about the dream, the whole family goes ahead to bow before Joseph in Egypt while he was Prime Minister. The dream took long to come to pass, but finally, it did. Through this Sun, moon and stars dream of Joseph, God reveals that He follows-up to make his word come true; and that unlike humans, He does not fail to recall His promises to us. Through his ways and plans, God made come true a dream which no one cared to remember anymore.
Daniel 1:17
“God gifted the four young men a rare aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams.” (“What Does the Bible Say About Dreams And Visions?” n.p.). Shadrack, Meshack, and Abednego were appointed into administrative posts while Daniel was governor over the time’s royal headquarters. Daniel also had another dream as recorded in Daniel 7; The Dream of Four Beasts. In this dream, Daniel saw four beasts that were terrifying. The dream was so complicated that it disturbed Daniels mind, but God finally interpreted the dream for him. Four Kings would rise to rule but at the end of it all, the people of the Highest God would conquer and would possess the land forever after that. In this dream, God was passing a message of hope that the people of Israel would finally get out of bondage and conquer their enemies. They would also take over and become the strongest after the rule by four kings.
