WHO analyzed that: Ecuador is ninth on the scale with greater consumption of alcoholic beverages, where 7 is ingested.2 liters of alcohol per year. A reliable source study yields the following figures: people between 19 and 24 years are the ones who consume alcoholic beverages with 12%, followed by those aged 25 to 44 with 11.

And in Quito’s figures it is affirmed that: ‘’ Alcohol consumption in the capital is 20.00%. Teenagers between 19-34 drink excessively. The age at which they begin to ingest these drinks is at the age of 12.’’ (OPS, 2018).
