The Importance of the Concept of Deconstruction
Introduction
The writers of the book use the deconstruction concepts such as slippage thus giving the clear understanding of the scene in many ways and formed a fantasy story that enables a reader to view material of reality. The paper highlights the deconstruction concept of slippage that gives a clear meaning of the scene, characters, and importance of using the idea in the play ‘the circular ruins’ by Jorge Luis Borges. Slippage concept makes statements appear to have a determinate explanation, but the text has several interpretations.
How the Slippage Concept Facilitates More In-Depth Understanding of the Scene and the Character
Jorge Luis Borges appropriately enhances metafiction together with various characteristics of a fable and some theological work in his book ‘the circular ruins’ therefore seems to deconstruct the story (Culler, 201). Some of the slippage concepts include the Derrida’s dictum, it is revealed in the book that the narrator himself use creation thus also referred as dream child as well. Also, another area the story employs slippage concept include breaking down oppositions that are binary. The concept creates a gap between the signifier, and the signified thus making the reader interpret differently about the scene and characters in the story. The story enables the reader to focus on examining the content of the writing and creation in the dream worlds not limited to the truth but available in the present world we are today.

The slippage concept helps the reader to understand the characters well (Lewis, 260). Borges uses many methods to establish the meaning of the book including the metafiction. The relationship between the text in the book and the precise meaning is left for the reader to decide. The concept of deconstruction is essential in enhancing clarification to the reader, therefore, aims to determine the texts contradiction by showing reversed and subverted binary pair.

In conclusion, the book the entitled ‘the circular ruins’ illustrate the concept of the deconstruction (slippage) by developing the story and giving more clarity. Therefore, it makes the reader develop multiple interpretations of the literary product.
