Also, social media can lead to an adverse outcome such as accidents, for instance, a driver who may be tempted to use his/her phone may end up crashing or hitting a pedestrian. Moreover on the cases of students using social media their grades are likely to drop due to poor grammar nevertheless this might not be the case to all students because they are those who have learnt more through these social media platform.
To the organization, social media has posed a threat to institutions vital information. Once the data has leaked, it will negatively affect the organization because it will spread to a vast number of people within a short period (Anderson p.40). Hackers can access the information through the social media platform such as WhatsApp that is easy to decrypt its codes thus causing leakage of the organization’s data. Also, social media can cause a reduction in the productivity of employees because most of the time they may spend on their technological gadget an act that will bring losses to the institution.
In conclusion, there is a need to initiate measures that arise with social media such as illnesses and accidents. With these measures, we will be able to mitigate the adverse outcome of social media in our society, and we will benefit and stand a chance of advancing more in our community.
