Chicago Gun Violence
The January 2016 shootings in Los Angeles made the police department of Chicago to hold a continuous conference among the police commissioners on how to reduce the shootings and violence in the state. The following year, there was a drastic drop in the intensity throughout the country. It focused on empowering the district commanders to analyze the crime patterns and make a quick strategic decision to combat such crimes (Patton, Kyle and Gary 10). However, the last attempt to use to reduce gun shooting led to the eruption of gun violence which left about 750 individuals dead and 4300 wounded. Policies to control the gun use and to shoot in Chicago are becoming hectic to the police departments in Chicago cities since the number of civilians who get access to guns is very high. In this case, feting a weapon is more comfortable than getting a job. The fact that holding a gun is legal in the country, there is no policy can be used to control its access by the citizens. This makes the police department to deal with the consequences of the shooting rather than the control of the use of guns.
Despite the challenges in creating the policy, the Chicago police department has always focused in cracking down the illegal gun ownership and accessibility to the gun. In this case, they ensure that all firearms have to be registered and only entrusted dealers can sell the gun. This will control the irresponsible use of guns, therefore, reducing the public shootings and gun violence in the state.

In conclusion, the policies that will ensure a safe environment based on the public education on the illegal ownership of guns that promote violence in the country.
