Classmate Biography
Family Background
The family background plays a critical role in shaping one’s personality. The values that one possesses are usually instilled in them from their early years by their families (Cowan and Hetherington 18). My classmate Anna Ruth Rice, who is also my close friend, was born on November 7, 1999 in Mobile, Alabama. She has two siblings; one sister and one brother. Her brother Nathan is 15 years old while her sister Olivia is 13 years old. Her mother is an elementary school teacher while her father is a mechanic.
Special Interests
Anna’s greatest special interest is caring for animals. She has two dogs, horses and one rabbit. With no best friends, Anna spends most of her free time with her pets. Apart from caring for animals, Anna also had interest in dancing though she doesn’t pursue this interest anymore. She used to dance ballet, jazz, hip-hop and tumbling for four years from her third grade to sixth grade.
Sports
Ann is so much into sports; while many people engage in sports to compete, she participates in games as a form of physical exercise and stress reliever. Her favorite sport is softball, a game she plays with passion. This game is a family thing for her since her mom played it and her sister plays it too. Anna has been playing softball since her seventh grade. She plays both outfield and right center. Apart from softball, Anna has also engaged in other sports. At the age of eight, she played soccer for one year as a middle fielder.

She also participated in swimming for one year during which her favorite swim style was the butterfly. She also played gymnastics at the age of seven.
