Civil rights are those rights which advocate for equal treatment amongst individuals. By this, it means that the rights prevent people from being treated unfairly or from being discriminated against other groups of people in various settings, including housing, employment, education and more other places. Civil rights could also guard an individual against receiving unbiased treatment from situations which are legally protected. There are situations when a person’s civil rights are violated in that, he/she is treated in a way that other people are not treated, and the kind of treatment given to him could cause him/her adverse impacts. If any person faces a treatment which he feels, he/she does not deserve, or which the person thinks that it denies him/her from enjoying the civil rights, then that person should report the issue to the legal systems for an action to be taken. In this article, having had enough experience when it comes to denial of civil rights, I have chosen to the right this article to discuss more civil rights and make people aware of what action they should take when they are faced with a situation of being denied their civil rights.
“Civil Rights Movement” historically referred to the efforts that were put in place by the black-Americans to fights for equality in how they were treated in comparison to the whites. Back then, there was unfair treatment exercised on the blacks where they were taken as slaves by the whites.

Activists started fighting for the rights of the blacks and movements were formed over the same, it is from this that the historical definition of the term civil rights emerged. However, in the current society, the term “civil rights” is used when describing the equality advancement of all people irrespective of their sex, race, disability, age, religion, national identity, or more characteristics. Most laws regulating or guaranteeing civil rights originate at the federal level, either through central legislation or decisions made by the federal court. There are also civil laws passed by individual states, and these laws are at times similar to the laws civil rights laws at the counties, municipalities, or the state level. There is a dissimilarity amid civil liberties and rights; the idea of civil rights has always rotated around the elementary rights where individuals desire to be free from being treated with bias grounding on specific sheltered characters e.g. disability, gender, and race. On the other hand, civil liberties lie in a broader field of freedoms and rights which are guaranteed at the government level by other federal law or the constitution. If one believes that his/her rights are being violated, then the person has to speak to an experienced Civil Rights Attorney. Significant decisions which are related to one’s case can be complicated. Some of these complicated situations include one knowing which condition requires a given law to be applied and the person who is responsible for your suffering. In such like a situation, a Civil Rights Attorney will be supportive in assessing all phases of one’s case and give all alternative options to be taken so as to ensure the best outcome comes from your case.
It is important for every individual to know all his/her civil rights. Knowing one’s civil rights assists the person to know whether his/her rights are being violated or not. There are many situations where people’s rights are violated; including places of work, in schools and colleges and so on. There are laws and regulations which govern the way one is treated by the others, if one feels that his/her rights are being violated, then there are legal actions which should be taken to prevent hi/her from facing biased treatment. Civil rights should be given much attention by the legal systems to deal with those people violating other people’s rights. Currently, the action of the Civil Rights activists and the legislation system has helped reduce the rate at which people’s rights are violated in given situations.
