Speech review by Tony Robinson, ‘why we do what we do’.
Tony Robinson as the speaker of the speech entitled ‘why we do what we do’ provides an amazing vehicle for looking at your life, mapping out a mission, and determining what’s holding you back and what you need to move forward. Tony touched people’s souls and helped them see their life’s work more clearly and easy to achieve their goals. The context of the speech is about the human emotions and decisions that influence or drive you towards doing something that will define actions.
The speaker is touchy in his speech that he forces you to step out of the situation that you got yourself. He forces you to detach yourself from that. He inspires the audience by showing them how their emotions and decisions can transform the world and life into a better one. This speaker is a bit crazy in his work .he actually proves to people how long has done in life. How much confident he is that whatever he does and say works. This is evident in his curiosity and craziness that it is no doubt to have your mind and emotions transforming you into a new page of life.
The speaker also delivers his speech to the audience with an interactive style. He lets in the audience participate and open up their mind and share their opinions. This is well evident when he poses rhetorical questions. This keeps the audience keen and wanting to know and hear him talking. This builds up curiosity and eagerness in the audience.

He sounds formal to capture the audience attention. It is quite clear that his speech is extemporaneous kind of expression because he delivers it with some structured notes as shown on the screen in his video.
Tony is consistent in his topic and content. In fact, he gives illustrations that bring out the real picture of how this is happening in your life, moving you together with him and experience what he says in the mind. The fact that Tony is knowledgeable about the topic makes him maintain consistency in his topic hence the flow of ideas that keep the audience active all through.
The speaker considers his audience in the sense that he asks them questions that are familiar with their situations and the environment. For instance, he asks them about the Supreme Court something that amuses the audience; clearly this depicts the fact that they are aware of what he relates. As a good speaker, Tony Robinson has an extensive knowledge about his audience, and that is why he delivers his speech to the right audience who understands his topic. He involves the audience by making humorous remarks, and this makes the audience laugh and more eager to listen to him. This clearly shows how considerate the speaker is supposed to be to the audience (Weissman).
Tony Robison main purpose in his strong introduction is to capture the audience attention and make them anticipate and interested to hear what he has to say to them. He goes ahead to give them a preview of the ideas he is going to talk about in his speech. He explains himself what he really believes in that make anything happen. In fact as a good speaker he uses words that bring equity regarding the common goal of everyone. ‘We all have great minds’. Ideally the main agenda here is to bring out the element of harmony among the audience and the feeling of being considered important and, therefore, the message is specifically for them to listen to it (Alberts). This enables a good speaker like Tony Robinson maintains a substantial introduction to his speech.
The speaker also ends the speech on a sharp note. He maintains this by having a motivating person on the stage to prove the audience that actually what he has said in his speech is genuine and evident. He focuses on the benefits of the audience and encourages them to practice what he has said. He even acknowledges and appreciate them listening to him. This way a good speaker maintains a strong conclusion.
The speech is informative in the sense that the speaker tries to retain the audience interest and enhance their understanding regarding the power of emotions and decisions. Tony works hard to sustain and increase the interest and improve the understanding of the audience. He gives well conversant illustrations that bring out a clear image of what he is talking about.
The speaker makes a great impact on the audience .he is so confident that he has succeeded in convincing the audience to transform their thinking, decisions and emotions towards making a good choice of life. This is evident that the audience is so excited and is applauding for him. Clearly depicts that his message has impacted a big number of the audience
The speech is useful because of the interactive audience response to the speaker (McConnell). They participated in the speech by raising their hands whenever the speaker asked them to. Making applaud to the speaker is a clear indication that speech message is of an effective delivery.
