Cuban History
In a book that talks about the history of the Cuban revolution, I would date the book as 1953-1959. This is because the revolution began in July 1953 when Castro decided to fight against Fulgencio Batista who was the president of Cuba. Castro formed a group of rebels to fight against Batista’s military. The rebel group was known as “The Movement.” In July the rebel groups launched an attack on the Moncada Barracks which failed as many of the rebels were killed, and Castro was arrested. Castro was tried and then jailed for fifteen years in the Isla de Pinos (Samuel 96). Castro renamed his group as “26th of July Movement.”
He was pardoned by the government in 1955 as Batista’s government did not consider him as the political threat anymore. After his release, Castro fled to Mexico with Raul Castro who was his brother. They met Marxist-Leninist Che Guevara. They formed a small revolutionary group that aimed at overthrowing Batista. In 1956, the small revolutionary group sailed across Mexico and landed in Los Cayuelos where they attacked Batista’s forces (Samuel 186). They camped at Sierra Maestra mountain range from where they carried out their guerrilla attacks against Batista’s army. They were with recruits and, their number increased with time. After a long struggle, they were able to defeat the army, and in 1958, Batista fled the country to the Dominican Republic. Castro was able to take over as the president of the country after the long struggle (Michelle 91).

Wait! CubanHistory paper is just an example!

I would identify, “The Cuban Revolution” as the beginning and “by Fidel Castro” as the end.
Both the authors see Castro’s manifestations, and the results of his radicalization were caused by his ego and temptations that he would receive assistance from the Soviet Union. They also view the consequences to have been caused by Fidel Castro’s dilemma in choosing between the liberal movements which he is the one who begun and the temptation from the authoritarian factions (Le Blanc 51). Michelle Chase views are actions as an action against his hatred towards the United States domination of Latin America and it was forcing him to accept the capitalist ideology. Samuel Farber on the other side says that Russia supported his country with billion dollars and Russia also boosted it economy with trade (Samuel 101). This made Castro abandon the liberal principles he had believed in and become an authoritarian leader. He fought for multi-partysm, and he ends up banning the opposition parties. Castro became a dictator just like Batista.
The subtitle means the author of this book uses paintings to express the actions of the colonist against the black men. The book shows how the black men used to be mistreated by the white colonizers and in their land. There are also painting that shows how the black men decided to pick up arms to fight the colonizers (Michelle 93). The black men were tired of being enslaved by the white men. The author used imagery and painting to express how the black man fought for his freedom against the white man. The painting and the imagery bring the reality of what happened during the fight for freedom. Cuba does not appear anywhere in the subtitle because this book talks about the Black who Africans. The setting for the story is in African making it difficult to mention Cuba. I think that the exhibit is better with its title. Because the title of the piece gives a better meaning of what is inside the piece.
