Describe and provide an example or examples of the management/techniques used by the applicant to manage effectively

Paul Hawken defined good management as the art of making challenges more intriguing while creating fascinating solutions, in a manner that attracts other people to deal with those problems. Sound management techniques ensure that objectives of individuals and teams are achieved in an orderly fashion.
I have always been one of those leaders who believe in perfection when performing tasks. I have never allowed huge responsibilities to subordinates, in the fear of getting mediocre results. Formerly I used work in a smaller healthcare facility, and activities were not much, so my subordinates did not have much to do. I took the liberty of accomplishing all the tasks under my dockets without incorporating subordinates.
Recently I was promoted to work in a larger institution where duties and activities are broad; there are many departments that I am required to manage. In the one month, I noticed that unlike my previous organization, my taking all the duties attitude failed me. I tried to delegate duties to fellow employees to cover objectives in real time. I tried to train my subordinates in what I believed could lead to realizing expected results according to my standard.
My new management skills that involved delegating of duties and continuous training of subordinates helped me to realize that better results were achieved. I had placed my trust on the employees, and some come out with better-working strategies. In this form, I was learning new skills and improving my knowledge base.

As a leader at management level, I realized that teamwork is what mattered.
In conclusion, better management is not individual based but team oriented. Continuous improvement of team members brings the success in the management task.
