Effective strategic leadership in companies

It is said: "Management is responsible for the success or failure of a business". Management is making decisions for the growth and development of the company. Each decision made, has an effect on the performance of companies. Before the challenges of the 21st century, it is necessary, a leadership that leads to the company has achieved achievements, developing new strategies and making assertive changes for the best performance and functionality of the company.

“Leadership refers to the influence that a person exerts on his reference group. Through this influence, the leader manages to carry out the tasks that are intended to be developed at the service of collective efficacy ”. The leadership function is to establish goals and motivate staff, so that they efficiently develop with goals. This is the greatest dilemma and it is necessary to create strategies, that before adversity and global changes and staff continue to advance efficient. Having successful results is not by chance and it is because of the leader’s ability to formulate correct strategies. There are several factors that can contribute to the leader’s decision -making. According to Ortlieb, G. M., “It is the responsibility of senior management, monitoring the internal and external context of the organization, projecting the trends of industry and competition, detecting the market opportunities that arise, identifying business threats and developing a credible vision forfollowers ".

Wait! Effective Strategic Leadership In Companies paper is just an example!

Each factor requires study and a plan to follow. Strategies are needed, which are effective for the development of the company, but also the success of achieving goals.

What is strategic leadership? According to Ortlieb, G. M. (n.d.), "Strategic leadership is the process of offering the direction and inspiration necessary to create and implement a vision, a mission and strategies to achieve and support organizational objectives". It is having a good judgment and a correct approach, with the purpose, that the organization has the desired results. The biggest strategic leadership challenge is to create and develop strategies to achieve goals. It is not a light something, it requires creativity, assertiveness, discipline and passion. But it also takes, agility of thought, a wide perspective, and accept the challenge of leaving the "comfort" area. For the organization to progress, the strategic leader needs to use all data, information, tendency or current to do a study of the present and what is expected, having in mind the needs of competence of the organization, in decision making.

Before the new changes and challenges, of this new millennium, each strategy and decision that the management will make, will produce that companies grow or disappear. A need arises, to develop strategic leaders, who are proactive, visionary and innovative. The ability to make decisions and strategic actions will allow organizations to survive. “The ability to anticipate, visualize, maintain flexibility and grant authority to others to generate a strategic change when necessary. In order for strategic leadership to be effective, it must have the ability to influence the human factor in the face of an uncertain reality. It is to motivate your team, to direct towards course drawn.

According to Mora, “directing an organization or part of it is a set of responsibilities. A manager must fulfill certain functions ". The functions are necessary to be able to direct an organization and establishing different roles. Taking into account the vision, address and achievement. The main management functions are: planning, organization, address and control. These functions are performed by managers of all levels. In order for strategic leadership to be effective, it must focus on the use of management functions: planning, organization, management and control.

According to Navai, M., “The transformation process that currently exists worldwide, characterized by technological advances, processes, globalization, growth and business development, as well as evolution of thought and theories about the organization and direction of companies, hinders the permanence ofbusiness in your environment;Well, this process requires business units for greater preparation for decision making that implicit the effects on the future, which allows a better positioning to compete successfully reflecting an adequate management of the resources directed within the reach of the proposed objectives; These changes constitute a need for all sectors of the economy ". In a world, which moves around global changes and crisis or the so -called commercial wars of nations, strategies need to be created to develop assertive management planning. Organizations cannot be separated from the environment, because it affects their growth and development. It is urgent to have a future vision, to be able to adjust to the changes of the present. Then the question arises, what do you want to do? The strategic leader has to formulate where he wants to go, it is nothing else, to determine the mission and objectives to achieve and establish an initial point and an end point. In addition, set a path to where you want to arrive. It is that path between the beginning and the end, the actions, procedures, methods and techniques to reach success are set. To be able to do adequate planning we must answer the following questions: Macha, “What are the objectives of the organization in the long term? What strategies are better to achieve these objectives? What should short-term goals be? How high should individual goals be?"

Management functions is to establish a structure, where tasks are assigned so that staff can perform. It is not something that how are they doing? In the assignment of tasks the objectives and goals are established clearly . According to Macha, “how much centralization should exist in the organization? How should the positions be designed? Who is better qualified to occupy a vacancy? When should an organization implement a different structure?"These are guidelines that will help us draw a way to improve individual performance and organization.

The management function is to measure and correct individual and organizational performance to ensure that the planned is achieved. The performance of the staff and the company must be evaluated. Productivity is required to measure. According to the guide questions are: “How is it done? How to manage a group of workers who seem to have a low motivation? What is the most effective leadership style for a given situation? How will a specific change to worker productivity affect? When is it appropriate to stimulate the conflict?”Each answer to the questions will give us a map of the performance and motivation of the elements involved. It is necessary to establish the need to divide the tasks and coordinate them. For decision -making, a hierarchical system must be established, whether centralized or decentralized.

The control function is to verify, its purpose is to influence staff to corroborate for the achievement of organizational goals, already established. This control function entails authority, power, motivation and communication. In simple words, see what is done. Macha establishes some guide questions and are: “What activities do they need to be controlled in the organization? How should these activities be controlled? When is a deviation in performance significant? When the organization is being carried out effectively?”Each question gives us decisions. Something interesting that the control function is linked to the planning function. It is impossible to implement a new goals, without controlling the achievements that you want to reach.

Strategic leadership is fundamental in time of global, economic and technological changes. Strategic leadership is effective, when it establishes the management functions of planning (what to do), address (how to do it), organization (do it) and control (verify) and success will depend on the implementation of each function. The strategic leader needs to evaluate the need for each decision, the criteria that the decision entails, give value to the criteria, expose the necessary options, evaluate them and take the best alternative. Strategic leadership has the will to adapt to changes and formulate new assertive and effective solutions.
