The television is one of the best inventions of the 21st century. The history of the TV can be traced back to the late 19th and the early 20th century. It was invented at an age when human technology was advancing in telecommunications (Beevor, 2018).There was a need to pass information and entertainment to masses via a device that could be stored at home through a combination of visual and audio capabilities. The television started from simple black and white cathode ray devices to modern digital and smart TVs. It has played a significant role in entertainment, education, and advancement of technology, thus making it the best invention of the 21st century.
The television has many uses in the modern society with its advancement into smarter devices that can even access the internet. Initially, the TV has used a module to convey government news and upcoming events for the masses. As it developed and many television networks were formed, it became a crucial element of entertainment and education. In education, televisions have been used in schools to show educative videos due to its audiovisual capability. On the other hand, the television can air educative programs that can be viewed at the comfort of homes. In entertainment, both the analog and digital TV can show channels dedicated to recreation. Furthermore, with its ability to access the internet, it can be used to view online content.
Conclusively, the television is one of the best inventions of the 21st century.

As a gadget, it has diverse functionalities that keep its users entertained, educated and in touch with technology. Its multiple uses and significance have made it the best inventions of the 21st century.
