INTRODUCTION

Not long ago that interior design has been institutionalized as a university career, and although its field of study has been defined throughout these years, it is still growing. We know that its main area of ​​knowledge is architecture, from which it follows, to establish itself as an independent discipline. This double condition, that of being linked in its origins to a strong tradition, and that of its young age, makes it multiple development possibilities.

From here, we may be useful to think about the way in which the issues they deal with, as a platform that serves as the basis to detect what their potentialities are being installed. We will focus for this on two aspects; On the one hand, we will try to see how interior design establishes this cut of architecture, to be able to emancipate, and generate its specific themes and, on the other, what are the disciplinary purposes from the points of view of the formation and the profession, from the current panorama and with perspectives towards its consolidation in the future. We will try, then, to establish through the graduation projects, installed as a hinge between these two stages, some contributions that serve to the work of teachers, students and professionals.

The documents presented here elaborate a reflection on the work of interior design from different perspectives. From the internal purposes to the discipline, through the investigation of the way of construction of the forms.

And from the external ends to it, addressing the theme of the designer’s role.

Each of the works and studies, with its particular approaches generates a contribution to reflection on the discipline and role of the designer in its different dimensions.

Decorator is called the person dedicated to design the interior of offices, homes or commercial establishments with aesthetic and functional criteria.

The decorator plans the distribution of interior spaces with its clients presenting a project according to their needs, preferences and budget. First, determine with your client the preferred type of architecture for the premises, its functions and destination and the type of equipment to be installed.

The decorator advises its client about the style of furniture and other decoration objects, color and style of the upholstery, the painting of the walls and the roof and the distribution of the spaces. The decorator seeks and selects the furniture, pictures and decorative objects appropriate to the project requirements. It also adapts to the new space with aesthetic criteria the furniture or objects available. Presents the project to the client through drawings, schemes or illustrations.

Within our society there are companies that are dedicated to the decoration of business and homes, however in my opinion it is necessary to advance more in this aspect.

An interior decorator par excellence must be an artist, who knows how to combine all aspects of the spaces and variables that must be combined to achieve the work of art that each client seeks.

Identity is very important at the time of decoration, only with identity trends in design and decoration can occur, show this are the famous cholets.
