Issue
In this case, the reason as to why Sheldon Cooper fell and broke his leg was as a result of negligence by Stuart Bloom. Bloom had noticed the puddle of lemonade on which Cooper slipped and fell but had failed to clean it up because he was depressed about his failing business and pathetic personal life. As a result, Cooper slipped on the puddle as he rushed to pick up his Wesley Crusher action doll personally autographed by Wheaton. The reason as to why Howard Wolowitz and Raj Koothrappali laughed at Cooper is because he fell on the ground. Cooper was humiliated by the actions of Howard and Raj. Wil Wheaton humiliated Cooper further by handing him an autograph with the words “To Sheldon, what a complete loser! Your Pal, Wil Wheaton.” These were demeaning words that were meant to lower the morale of Cooper. Another legal issue that is, in this case, is where Jim Hobo stole a comic which was later accused mistakenly on Bloom. He was mistakenly arrested by police, but it was found that it’s only a half-eaten bag of Fritos that was in Baggins’ coat but not the comic. Hobo went on to sell the comic at a much lower price than its worth.
Law
The law applicable in this case is the law of tort. This is a law that explains the remedies can be provided to an individual who has suffered injury due to actions that can be regarded as unreasonable. People should take responsibility for their actions. In other words, the law of tort dictates that every person should act responsibly (Best & Barnes, 2007).

Wait! Fact Pattern paper is just an example!

If another person suffers harm because of irresponsible actions of another, the perpetrator of such actions should take responsibility for the harm. Whether intentional or accidental, every person must act in a manner that will not cause injury to the other people. There are several types of actions that are likely to cause harm. Some of them include intentional acts, violation of law or statutes, lack of some individual to act duly and negligent acts (Busnelli & Spier, 2003). The person who is responsible for the tortious act is known as the tortfeasor and is usually the defendant in the lawsuit and will be held liable for any harm or damages that might have resulted directly from their actions. It is worth noting that the injury does not have to be physical. Types of tort include; negligence, assault, trespass, battery, products liability, and emotional distress.
Application
In this case, Cooper was physically injured as a result of negligent acts perpetrated by Wil Wheaton. He slipped on a puddle of lemonade as he rushed to pick up his Wesley Crusher action doll personally autographed by Wheaton. Stuart Bloom failed to clean it up because he was depressed about his failing business and pathetic personal life. This was a negligent act and is the reason as to why the injury occurred (Morissette, 2009).
Further, Raj and Howard humiliated Cooper by laughing at him after he fell. This is an act that caused emotional harm to Cooper. In this case, Bloom will be held responsible for his negligent act. Raj and Howard will also be held for causing emotional harm on Cooper.
Conclusion
In this case, Wheaton will be responsible for humiliating Cooper through the message he wrote on the autograph. Also, Bloom acted negligently by not removing the puddle of lemonade, and this led to Cooper slipping and falling and getting the physical injury and also stealing the comic. Further, Raj and Howard will be responsible for causing emotional injury on Cooper.
