Endorphins help in minimizing physical pains associated with exercising. With increased blood flow in the body muscles, the brain will start to function better. Activities that are more physical will help in promoting the growth of new brain cells, which will enhance learning and boost one’s memory.Name

The current physical fitness describes the ability of a machine or a person to perform certain functions and their adaptability to situations. Fitness was defined in before the industrial revolution as one’s ability to do work without enduring fatigue. However, due to changes and evolution in one’s physical fitness, the term is defined as the state of having a good health due practical exercises and proper nutrition (Maffetone, 8). It measures the well-being and the capacity to perform occupations and daily activities.

Wait! Fitness, effects on the mind and body paper is just an example!

According to Maffetone, fitness gives a standard of the body’s ability to function effectively and efficiently either in work or leisure activities (7). The physical fitness also measures the ability of the body to resist diseases and the capacity to deal with emergency situations efficiently. Physical fitness enhances the interrelation of human fitness and the interest on an individual attractiveness (Maffetone, 10).
Fitness is just achieved by keeping on proper nutrition, having physical exercise and having enough rest. It is attributed to a person who can carry out functions actually due to the possession of important anaerobic or aerobic abilities; endurance and strength (Greg, 6). Fitness is described as an increase in the capacity of a person across extended times. Greg claims that attributes of achieving physical fitness include endurance balance, speed, strength, and the ability to coordinate and improve the total amount taken in performing a function in a given period (7). He further says that a person can improve hisher fitness aspects such as weight training and respiratory endurance when linked to a perfect fitness program. All rounded fitness program related to an individual will focus on particular skills. The program tailored to a person will also focus more specifically on the age of the individual (Greg, 8).
Effects on the body
Fitness helps in improving the social, mental and the emotional health of a person. According to the research by Shetler, fitness is directly tailored to the body (16). It can prevent chronic health problems which are commonly caused by aging and unhealthy eating and also improve someone’s sleep better and rectify mood disorders (Shetler, 17). The effects of fitness on the body are shown on the body skeletal muscles and the endocrine organ. Fitness enhance body muscle contraction releasing a myokine substance. Myokines help in promoting the growth of new body tissues hence reducing the chances of developing inflammatory diseases.
Exercise affects the body either directly or indirectly. Shetler contends that individuals should avoid being inactive and instead involve themselves in mental and physical activities to promote good health (22). He further asserts that people should at least take 2 hours a day to exercise especially in activities involving muscle strengthening for more body health benefits. Fitness will help in normalizing body glucose levels, leptin, and insulin levels. This is an important aspect in preventing chronic diseases. Shetler found that fitness can improve one’s skin by making it clearer. The study also concluded that the benefits of fitness are not limited to improved sleep, mood, and improved sexual performance (23). A study by Maffetone focuses on the issue of exercise in increasing the blood pumping into the body muscles. Maffetone says that exercise increases oxygen in the body increasing the breathing rate hence the heart pumps more blood to the muscles (34). The muscles which surround the lungs reduce the speed of their movement indicating that the person has reached the maximum capacity of oxygen use. This will decrease the body blood pressure because new blood vessels are formed since the heart is more efficient at this time (Maffetone, 34).
Effects on the mind
Fitness affects an individual’s mind both directly and indirectly. During physical activities, the brain is enacted to produce endorphins which help in reducing stress in depressed people. Exercise is the most efficient remedy for depression. According to Shetler, endorphins help in minimizing physical pains associated with exercising (19). With increased blood flow in the body muscles, the brain will start to function better. More physical activities will help in promoting the growth of new brain cells which will enhance learning and also boost one’s memory. A dynamic functioning memory will keep one in focus. The mind is affected by fitness as it gets used to the blood movements and these boost the brain cells and protect them from diseases such as stroke (Shetler, 29). When exercising, the brain detects a stressful moment due to the increase in the heart pressure. In the process, brain-derived neurotrophic factor is released which protects the mind from stress and promote an ease feeling right after exercising (Shetler, 17). It is evident that fitness help in keeping healthy by building the mind and one’s body.
In conclusion, fitness is the state of having a good health due practical exercises and proper nutrition. The physical fitness also measures the ability of the body to resist diseases and the capacity to deal with emergencies efficiently. Physical fitness enhances the interrelation of human fitness and the interest on an individual attractiveness. On the body, it helps in improving the social, mental and the emotional health of a person.
