Module # 3 Food, Energy, Water Nexus
Rapid urbanization and industrial revolution have changed the interdependent resources such as food energy and water. The water-food-energy nexus is one of the sustainable development programs aimed at addressing the rising demands of natural resources. Rapid urbanizations, increasing population and changing economic growth has increased the rates of consumption of the world’s water resources and the energy used in the production of foods and supply process. Therefore, the change in consumer behaviors has been initiated by the marketing implications on the consumer’s actions.
Ways in which the Model is incomplete
The model has presented some of the significant factors affecting the consumption behaviours of the world’s population. Dynamic changes in population range from the birthrates, number of people, and other factors such as consumption rate and productivity of agricultural land. Besides, the context has been well presented along with the need for a sustainable system to develop reliable energy in the food production process (Finley & James, 6255). However, some of the missing factors from the model include the people, landscape and ecosystem. These factors often allow the adoption of integrative models of problem-solving and decision-making strategies. The model should have also demonstrated how the elements presented cause far-reaching impacts on the ecosystem, economic, social, and political factors.

Wait! Food Energy Water Nexus paper is just an example!

Improving Consumption Behavior and Demand
Controlling the relationship existing in the model require analysis on consumption behaviors. For instance, the problems created by unsustainable consumption behaviors are linked to poor management strategies. However, an integrated assessment that formulates sustainable development, objectives facilitate a reliable management system. Besides, building an infrastructural framework would promote a balance nexus system. Apart from factors contributing to the decision-making strategies, evaluating sustainable development approaches would also improve sustainable productivity and security of the resources for the future populations. Sustainable and integrated models should focus fundamental factors linked to energy and sustainability development in food production industries and agriculture.
Improving Policy Incorporation
Policies are crucial in the Nexus models. The systems often control through regular assessment strategies that aim at analyzing different scenarios especially those of the growing competition of the natural resources. The relationship that exists between water energy and food requires responsible governance and sustainability strategies that reflect on consumption and productivity across different environmental context. Climate change is one of the factors hindering sustainable development. As a result, the models need to reinforce the existing sustainable models. The degradation issues have influenced the planet’s resources. Toward to protect the earth from degradation Circular economy and bio-based economy are crucial components in developing the right sustainable products across the system. Therefore, model improvement can be achieved by comparing its outcomes and addressing weaknesses in the system.
Incorporation of policies varies from one assessments strategy to the other. Control policies of food energy and water have a different context in contributing to the challenges facing the world populations. However, all these factors are interconnected and tend to influence other economic and social factors. One of the ways to address the issue is to adopt an integrative model that considers the current challenges such as climate change and high rates of degradation of natural resources and other factors including sustainable development. The policies linked to integrative models, therefore, facilitates regular analysis and development on new strategies that consider all the elements concerning developing a reliable system in addressing environmental variables. Besides, it also looks at land use practices and monitors productivity generation and the resilience of the resources.
