Football and the Gym
I have never been sure if I miss playing football. During my freshman and sophomore years in high school, I played as a tight end and outside linebacker for one season. The previous winter I had lifted weights, I did jogging and long jumps during spring and tried to keep fit during summer. Although I was not an absolute beast, it still was a decent commitment from me. My stable teammates who were regularly included during every single game always belittled me and appeared like they are out for domination. The gym was never fun for me. As a footballer, everyone thought that the best way to keep fit and healthy was to take gym classes. My bad attitude toward it seemed to affect me because I had a smaller body and muscles compared to the other boys. My teammates had big bodies and huge muscles that gave them a competitive advantage to people like me. They adored the gym sessions and became almost a cult to them.
I had issues with the gym propaganda. I always felt that the coach over-emphasized on its importance. It was evident with him that you were not in his plans if your gym sessions did not match his criteria. For instance, I started in only two matches towards the end of the season after the first string tight end, Jason, fractured his wrist. I gave it my best but was not good enough. I was horrible at blocking since I had no girth. The coach had no faith in me despite being the only one available for the position.

Wait! Football and the Gym paper is just an example!

To gain back the favor, I opted to use a shortcut that did not involve gym sessions. A friend of mine introduced me to the hidden web, where I would purchase steroids and weight boosters. Using the surface web to make purchases would leave traces on my browser and it was the last thing I wanted. Again, with the current information age, making purchases from algorithmic companies would store evidence of purchase that would make me kicked out of school if discovered. Although I was not found, it did not make me a better player. After my graduation, my attitude towards the gym had not changed, and I decided that football was never my thing.
