Happiness
Happiness refers to a state of subjective wellbeing characterized by a sense of living a quality life (Barwick, 576). It may not directly translate to living a life of joy every single day but may rather involve some instances of discomfort. Achieving happiness entails realizing contentment with one’s life by finding a deep satisfaction and a true meaning of life. In their efforts to achieve happiness, individuals work hard while making important decisions aimed at reducing the levels of sadness in their lives. Happiness comes from learning to balance one’s cognitive judgment and emotional reaction. This helps in balancing the positive and negative aspects of life that determines our perceived level of contentment hence happiness (Barwick, 576).
Since happiness is a subjective state of wellbeing, different people hold different views on what makes them happy. What makes one person happy may not be a source of happiness for another person. Personally, I derive happiness from the ability to set and achieve goals in life. To me, happiness is a measure of how satisfied a person is with his or her life and whatever he or she does. I perceive happiness to be closely linked with personal goals that are bound to make life better. While these goals may not always be achieved, having the right balance between cognitive judgment and emotional reaction is a key to determining the perceived feeling of personal wellbeing (Barwick, 578).

Wait! Happiness paper is just an example!

By setting realistic goals, I manage to maintain a purpose in life and to focus efforts and skills towards personal growth. By having a better understanding of my strengths, I can imagine my best own self and set achievable goals that would increase my level of contentment with life.
