Hospitalized patient and collaborative care
Due to the increasing demand of the admitted patient who is aged and needs hip surgery, there is a need for health professionals to merge. The collaboration of the health professional is necessary for sharing information and appropriate skills. The patient will, therefore, be in the hands of nurses, radiographic technologists, phlebotomists and medical lab technicians, radiation oncologist and hygiene dentist.
Nursing
Nurses provide comprehensive care during the process of surgery from the moment the woman gets admission into the hospital (De Fine, Romagnoli, Zaffagnini & Pignatti, 2017). Nurses will ensure that the patient understands nutritious meals full of calcium and iron before the patient goes for operation. In the theatre, nurses avail themselves to the surgeons in the theatre room and after surgery; they also give care and examine the healing process.
Radiography
Radiography is vital in X-ray imaging where examination of hip arthroplasty takes place with conventional plain-film radiography (De Jonge, Christmas, Andersen, Franckowiak, Mears, Levy & Seiber, 2001). The general prosthesis will be entirely on second orthogonal X-rays. The acetabula, leg length, and valgus stem position will be examined and compared with the standard structures, and it’s usually before surgery.
Phlebotomy
Plays an essential role in haemoglobin examination to understand whether the woman’s frequency of complications and episodes of pain (De Jonge, et al.

, 2001). When a higher haematocrit is observed, then the patient probably has a high blood viscosity which can lead to episodes of vaso-occlusive pains.
Medical lab technicians
In the laboratory, the patient’s blood samples will be in examination before surgery to detect any responses to the operation (De Fine et al., 2001). When the patients can lose more blood during the process, then the medical laboratory technicians will examine in their laboratory.
Radiation oncology
A period after hip replacement the woman probably can be at risk of growing an extra bone in her replaced hip joint (Schadewaldt, McInnes, Hiller & Gardner, 2016). The process is called heterotopic ossification its prevention is by just one method of radiation which is a few days after surgery. Radiotherapy will prevent any growth of a bone in the joint tissues.
Dental hygiene
The dental hygiene professional services will be essential to the woman after surgery where the dentist should explain the risk of smoking to the teeth and oral health (Schadewaldt, McInnes, Hiller & Gardner, 2016). The dentist will give a clear and detailed effect of severe smoking, for example, developing leukoplakia. The conditions can lead to further complications on the health of the woman after surgery and therefore to live a healthy life she must work on the rate of smoking.
Collaborative care is essential during the hip surgery since skills and diverse knowledge is shared and applied. The different abilities together yield a successful operation on the 65-year-old woman who was in serious health complications.
