Human Physiology: History of the human being

Introduction

Throughout the history of the human being, the environment has gone hand in hand with us, forms a fundamental part of our survival and even our cultural identity. Nature goes very hand with us, and it is an element of great importance for our existence, regardless of the years, we continue to depend on it and it on us. 

So studying it and learning to preserve it is a priority; Also studying that relationship between man and nature is vital for not only to understand the important connection, but to look for alternatives to our lifestyle so harmful to the environment and have a sustainable and worthy future for every living being On earth. The study of this relationship is known as human ecology.

Developing

Human ecology is defined as the relationships between human beings and the environment, what role man plays about nature and which nature plays about man. Human ecology is responsible for studying all these relationships, it allows us to have a complete perspective of systems that connect natural sciences with social sciences. “Its objective is to know the way in which human societies conceive, use and affect the environment, including their biological, social and cultural response to changes in such an environment.”(López Barbosa, s/f)

In the following essay I will deepen the concept of human ecology, its importance as a science and I will also announce the relationship that I managed to find among human ecology (previously defined) with the recent field exit to the Magic People of Cuézala, Puebla, Puebla, where there was a greater approach to several of the issues seen throughout the course, not only in ecology, but in the others taken in this first semester of the environmental science career.

Although from the beginning of our times the established relationship we have with nature is present, it was not until the 19th century, where the concept of ecology was developed at the origin of Charles Darwin species and officially used in 1868 by Haeckel, in which one of the parents of sociology would define this concept of human ecology. Duncan, Hauser and Schnore, completely shaped the term human ecology. This was based on four fundamental concepts: the population, the medium (the ecosystem), technology and organization.

Cultural factors are found in every small aspect of our life, culture is a complex whole, so its presence in the study of human ecology is crucial, after all the human being is culture. The conditions of the culture in these days are in a very interesting and sad position, because with the great advances that have technologically speaking, our lifestyles have changed radically, as well as our perspective of the environment and the empathy with others; and also social and cultural aspects have been modified. 

Industrialization and urbanization have changed our way of perceiving what is around us, just as they have taken us away from this fort that connection we have with nature, in the first field departure held in the Bachelor’s degree, trip to the magical people of Cuetzalan, in Puebla. In this practice, various places were visited where Tasepan cooperatives are involved. Currently this union of cooperatives has more than 36,000 partners, 78% of them are indigenous and 64% are women.   7. Cooperativa Tasepan Pajti: they provide comprehensive health services.
  8. Cooperativa Tasepan Kali: They provide ecotourism services to visitors.
  9. Maseual Xicaualis Cooperativa: Collection, Transformation and Marketing Center.

This Union has a General Assembly, Board of Directors and Surveillance Council. The different functions with which the 9 divisions meet. This was where I could notice the great organization they have in the community and since everyone has a common objective, preserving their culture, having a sustainable way to generate income and have an equally sustainable lifestyle.

I could see very present the concept of human ecology within this system of cooperatives. I was quite surprised like a whole community had a union not only between them, but also with nature. In Tosepan he manages the concept of human ecology quite noticeable and positive, because the relationship they established with the environment is a sustainable in which they have very present the importance of the environment in their life, both in work, emotional, and cultural.

You could say that your social system takes into account the environment, its conservation and harmony that they maintain with this same. One of the places that were visited was a home producer of cinnamon, coffee and pepper, the man who took us a tour of his home, showed us the great variety of vegetation he has and as the uses he gives them; From gastronomic, medicinal and even decoration for their festivities. The connection that this man has, and the hundreds of families in Cuetzalan, with the ecosystems that surround them are quite strong.

conclusion

The ecotourism that is handled within Tosepan is another point to highlight, they have a few tourist activities where they offer their services, either in the cabins with spa that they handle or in the cave that are in a natural area where it looks very reflected the word ecotourism. 

During the visit to these cave, the managers explained a little about the way the cave work and what they want to promote by offering such experiences. In my opinion, what we want to convey is to remember that link between us and the environment, emphasize that, despite having so many technological and industrial advances, the relationship and dependence towards nature is still there and it must be reinforced.
