Sudd Petroleum Operating Company Limited is an international oil company found in Sudan. This company which has its headquarter in Juba produces and sells its products both in the country and outside the country. The fact that the company is based in a third world country makes its human resources functions to operate in a lot of difficulties (Sudd Petroleum Operating Company Limited, 2018). On the other hand, BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. is a company dealing with pharmaceutical products. The company is based in California, in the U.S but in operates locally in the country as well as in other parts of the worlds such as Asia, and Europe (BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc, 2018). The human resource functions of this international company are advanced and well-organized because the nation in which the company is found is stable.
When comparing the various human resource functions between Sudd Petroleum Operating Company Limited and BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc, it is clear that in the latter, the human resource is refined a factor that makes the employees work in conducive environments. Both strategic planning, pay, benefits, training, employee relations, and safety are enhanced in this company since the social, economic, as well as the political aspects prevailing in the nation are peacefully coexisting (BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc, 2018). This not only enables the HR officials to plan and organize the various operations effectively but also motivates the employees to work according to the expectations of the management.

The HR management of Sudd Petroleum Operating Company Limited has been reported to have a hard time planning and coordinating the various operations in the company. The fact that this nation operates in a nation where war and other social together with economic problems prevail has made it challenging for the company to run (Africa Oil Power, 2018). The company lacks enough resource to align its operations appropriately. Besides, external factors discourage business a factor that demotivates not only the employees but also the implementation of the HR functions.
