Apple Inc. Supply Chain
The concept of the supply chain is meant to ensure that businesses can convert their resources into value for their consumers. An effective supply chain is expected to deliver value to the company and meet the current and future consumer demands. Apple Inc. is a business that has had an effective supply chain, and it has ensured that it stands out from its competitors. The supply chain of the business has failed due to the failures in the production process (Webb N.p). The business adopted a strategy that includes outsourcing their manufacturing functions to companies in Asia. The adoption of new regulations such as the Taiwanese corporate law resulted in delays in the manufacturing processes.
The disruption in the supply chain led to the consumers having to wait for their gadgets. Consumers are opting to use other devices such as Samsung which poses a significant threat to the market share controlled by Apple Inc. (Webb N.p). The current problems can be alleviated by focusing on other entities that can help in the manufacturing process. This will ensure the consumers can access their devices as needed and improve the consumer confidence in the business. The company has also focused on recovery efforts by switching from the traditional screens to the new organic light emitting diodes (OLED) screens (Webb N.p). Through the new strategy, the business is able to compete with competitors such as Samsung and have come up with different devices such as iPhone X.

The company has recovered and is trying to come up with a sustainable supply chain that offers consumer value in the long run. Competitors have also lost their market share as more people gravitate towards the new devices that have been developed by Apple Inc.
