Stress management
Introduction
Stress management helps students to cope with psychological pressure. The theories of stress established by various experts help to show the dynamics of the condition. The understanding of the issue aids in developing the appropriate measures. Hence, the analysis will enhance the stress management skills of college students.
Analysis
Stress refers to the feeling of pain caused by psychological strain. The condition occurs when individuals face external pressure. For example, they may feel overwhelmed with their jobs or burdened by some illnesses (Holman, Johnson, & O’Connor, 2018). The state causes a lot of suffering to human beings.
The stress model shows that the condition occurs due to the interaction between the external environment and the predisposition of the individual. The theory indicates that genetics affects the resilience of human beings (Folkman, 2008). Thus, students with lower resilience become vulnerable to stress. The school of thought applies the nature and nurture arguments of behavior. The results of the Holmes-Rahe scale show that most of the stressors fall in the family category. They include illnesses of relatives and the change in living conditions (Swearer, & Hymel, 2015). Therefore, the environment at home contributes to the stress experienced. The GAS model sets the condition in three stages. It starts with the alarm reaction phase where the body exhibits panic and a rush of adrenaline (Rice, 2012).

Wait! Human Resources Research paper paper is just an example!

The second stage involves the resistance stage where the body attempts to contain the individuals from the adverse effects of the event. In the last phase, the body becomes exhausted and shows the inability to fight the stress. The results from the scale show the change in eating habits (Amadei, 2012). The trend indicates the stress response as the body enters the exhaustion stage.
Conclusion
The theories of stress help to explain the causes of the condition. They show the stressors and the response of the body to the external factors. The models help to create patterns from the Holmes-Rahe scale. Therefore, the analysis helps in stress management.
