Inequalities and social discriminations in everyday life

Introduction

We have all ever witnessed or experienced some form of discrimination in our daily lives, against women, children, elderly, either because of their physical condition, social classes, even for the fact of how dresses are dressed and somehow it hurts usSee how we are belittled just by how we see each other. On the other hand, the world has gone through different changes and evolutions, since the prehistoric era, the human being has sought as highlighting on other species, the search for its safety and survival has allowed only the strongest, most intelligent, the most intelligent, and thethat have more power can survive. This is what we know as "the survival of the most suitable" by Charles Darwin. But what happened to others, those who were not considered strong or not fit to survive? As always, "the big fish eats the boy" and all this given to social inequalities and discrimination that have always existed, but should not continue limiting us.

With the realization of this essay I intend: demonstrate the current, national and international reality regarding the problem of human inequalities in which we are involved.

Developing

Several studies on the history of inequalities show an increase in world inequality between the 19th century and the end of World War II, and the beginning of the Cold War when the world order was restructured and new powers emerged (United States and theSoviet Union), which resulted in a stronger stage of globalization in the world from 1945.

Wait! Inequalities And Social Discriminations In Everyday Life paper is just an example!

The global trend reflected a great concentration of wealth and with it an increasing social inequality. This change of era, allowed inequalities to increase worldwide and that society would be divided. During the time of the 50’s and mid -60’s there was a great rejection on a part of the population towards the African -American communities to the point of separating them either in cinemas, restaurants, bathrooms, schools etc. So that they could not be mixed with other people, they suffered discrimination only because of the color of their skin, which was a problem when acquiring or renting a house, to study and even to get a job. But all this was even more difficult if you were a woman. A clear example of perseverance and overcoming in a world where women and social and racial inequalities were limited were very strong is Katherine Johnson, she managed to impose as physical, mathematical and space scientific spatial, she claimed that: “Women are capableto do everything of what men are able to do. Sometimes, they have more imagination than men ”Katherine Johnson managed to stand out in a world where white men were a majority and where the role of women as an intellectual always remained hidden.

We currently live in a society where there are great inequalities between each of the individuals that compose it. Inequalities can be given by natural aspects among human beings such as psychological that are the different ways of being and thinking, as well as those physical inequalities, which after all are differences in the human being that are there and notThey can be changed. But, there is also another form of inequality and these are social inequalities this can be defined as: an expression that reflects the discriminatory treatment that a group of people suffer, but that favors other social classes. While a group of people decide in which of their 5 houses they will spend their vacations, others are thinking about what furniture from their home could sell to pay the debt they acquired to survive. In general, social inequality occurs in sub-developed countries, it is also presented in developed countries, product of the lack of education, lack of opportunities in the labor market and due to the difficulty of accessing the various areas, economic or economicpolicies that are intended only for a select group of people. It should be added that as mentioned as a result of social inequality, other types of inequalities such as gender inequality, racial inequality, regional inequality, among others, among others, are generated.

Globalization is a reality in which we live, but we still do not realize, and that is the product of world capitalism, which in turn is the asymmetric division of goods in society. Because of this the appearance of social inequality has increased dramatically, separating society into rich and poor, the exploited and the oppressed against opulent and powerful. Which leads to the dismissal and discrimination of people either by their economic position, race, religion, sex among others, where a group of society suffers the consequences of rejection and vulnerability by the other as previously presented about the"Racial segregation" during the 50-60 years and although this happened years ago, today it cannot be denied that with everything and the efforts made to achieve a society in which we are all equal, we still have a lot toget to it and continue living in an unequal society.

Here are some examples of the hard unequal reality in which we live, but we ignore.

Extreme poverty, on the one hand the rich are increasingly rich and the poor are increasingGovernments require a long bureaucratic process that for these people can become very complex and tired. Only to give us an idea, in our country during 2018 it was estimated that 23% of the population was in extreme poverty equivalent to 1.5 million people as indicated by the Nicaraguan Foundation for Social Development and Economic (Funides) and it is expected that for this year the index can increase to 29%.

Unemployment: it is the bread of each day in poor countries and with a slow industrial economy like ours, if for many young professionals graduated it is difficult to achieve in good work, that more for those who did not study or have any title, whichIt leads to another negative effect on society: crime and the practice of illegal activities in which the country’s same society and the family economy are affected. According to Funides in 2018, 158 thousand jobs were lost and for this 2019 the unemployment rate could increase from 5.5% to 8.5%.

Ethnic and cultural discrimination: the treatment that a person who has a different origin receives, and presents features not equal to ours, can become a victim of isolation, marginalization and discrimination. It can be clearly seen in how marginalized the indigenous communities that are often not taken into account in our society, in addition to representing the poorest population of Nicaragua.

The inequalities between sexes: it is a reality that is still present even in those states where equal rights is recognized, the inequality between women and men is always notorious when achieving a job, always the rate of women hired is less thanthat of hired men. And on top of the salaries that women receive are lower than the one who would pay a man for the realization of the same job. In addition, the inequality in the sexes is also evidenced in the constant discrimination suffered by LGBT communities in the social, affective and workplace.

Now let’s see what are some of the causes or factors that promote the continuation of inequalities in the world. They are between them:

Shortage of access to education: although education is a fundamental right of all human being, there are many countries where people do not have access to it, due to the low budget and the lack of public education coverage, whichIt causes deficit in the future when wanting to enter the labor market and on the other hand the poverty in which the parents live does not allow them to be able to send children to school, but that force them at an early age to get out of theirhouses and do anything to take money to home.

Fiscal injustice: It is a real fact that there are entities that are more from one sector of the population than on the other, because they represent a benefit in their interests, and the tax regime favors companies and people who represent that benefit in goods andeconomic power. It is enough with the "tax evasion", not paying taxes, this reduces government income that could be used in the generation of jobs, education and social services.

Income inequality: Considering that according to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) Turkey, Mexico and Israel are the countries that represent a greater inequality of income and low wages, which has an impact on negative effects on the quality of life of the life of thePeople and this is due to the relationship between capital and labor, in a capitalist economy, the profits are always.

Concentration of political power: the political field has always been destined for a group of privileged people which generates greater corruption and crime within the same political system, which using the power they have in their favor create unpant judicial processes that are not reliable, causingIncreased class discrimination and social injustice.

conclusion

To conclude the solution to stop this problem in which we live is one: the change, but a change is not achieved on the night of the morning, but is a long and difficult process, but not impossible. State participation is very important since this must be responsible for these differences to dissolve. In the same way, the change must begin in the capitalist economic system that is the one that has the most power, but if the government in turn is favored by this system, equality will never be achieved. It is also needed that fiscal rules are credible in their policies and that these are more inclusive, sustainable and transparent implementing integration programs for the most disadvantaged minorities.

For all this is us the work of us, the new generations to achieve this change, where class divisions no longer exist, where rich and poor have the same rights and treatment, where I no longer know the accumulation of wealth by a groupsmall of society, while most of the other side, only seeks to survive with what it has, and where racism and all kinds of discrimination do not take place in the new equitable society that we want to build.
