Information System
An example of an information system is transaction processing system (TPS). TPS is one of the information systems which involve an organization transaction for collecting, modification and retrieval of transaction information. The key features of the TPS are reliability, consistency and its performance. A transaction process is contrasted of a batch process, where many of the requests are executed at ago ((Büscher, et al., 2225). The former method required the interaction of the user, but with the introduction of the batch process, the user involvement is not needed. In this case, all the transactions results are not immediately available. Finally, in the transaction process, there is no delay at all, and the results of all the transaction are readily available (Đurić, et al., 48).
IS system is used in integrating the management in both internal and external information across the organization (Colgate, 142). For example, in the banking industry information systems are essential regarding the growth and the survival of any organization (14). Banks need to store all the information which is used for making management easy and help the organization in edging out all their competitors (Kock, et al., 758). The primary information system used in banking includes booking keeping records for all the customers who need huge investments and those who need other security measures. To be precise, the information system is used for managing and processing all the information necessary for any organization (Büscher, et al.
