Integration of evidence-based practice into professional nursing practice
Introduction
Through different government policies in and patient rights programs, nurses are informed to have high quality services and highly supported by practices that are evidence-based. Such a provision is a challenge not only to the medical fraternity, but also to educators who are in the function of teaching fresh graduates into the nursing career. To achieve evidence-based practices the nursing fraternity just as other careers need to have care centered provisions that are aimed at improving the status of clients. Nurses therefore need to have fully supported current evidence when providing treatment to their patients.
The evidence-based approach in nursing
Mashiach (2011) confirms that there are different evidence-based care provisions in most conditions. Ailments that have seen evidence-based practices include diabetes, asthma and heart failure. However, the need to make provide such practices has been minimal in care delivery hence the need for more for them to be implemented. When such implementations are done patients will be more comfortable with the treatments they receive and also become conversant with their ailments (Christensen, 2011).
Through evidence-based practices in the professional nursing practice patients can receive treatment that is geared towards their safety and wellbeing.

Wait! Integration of evidence-based practice into professional nursing practice paper is just an example!

Research on patient safety did indicate that patient safety can only become possible if practitioners start implementing different evidence-based practices in their systems of operation. Putting into practice all that has been learnt from previous research work will be important for the nursing fraternity to achieve the desires of evidence-based treatment. This will lead to safer care that will be able to take care of patients without having to deal with serious complications. It is vital to note that implementing the evidence-based practices is not easy hence the need for various strategies that are geared towards understanding and addressing the complex system of nursing care.
Barriers and challenges in adopting the Evidence-Based Practice
It is known and understood that evidence-based practices are better when dealing with the health of patients. Most nurses currently have been investigated and their desire is to use such practices when treating and taking care of their patients. This is because they view such procedures as better compared to those that were considered and used in the past. However, the procedures and processes of implementing and using the evidence-based practice are slow and not readily accepted by the majority. The major challenge to using the system is the enormous literature of medical reports that have been published. This makes it hard for practitioners to form single evidence based on the amount of publications made and be up to date.
The level of authority given to nurses is also minimal, and this gives them no room to make changes in the procedures they use while taking care of their patients. The nurses according to other research work have been found to have less time and resources to implement the evidence-based practices which are at their disposal. This makes such groups of people to conform to their normal practices of operation which are simple and readily acceptable (Moch, 2010).
Conclusion
Evidence based practice is the careful use of best practices with expertise when making different decisions that are needed in the care of patients (Scott, 2009). Such practices stem from different empirical evidence that emanate from randomized trials. The evidence must also come from other qualitative and descriptive research as well as reports and information from expert opinions, principles of science and case reports.
