I assumed the position of Tax Fraud Investigative Analyst on 1st June 2017 a post I held up to 31st May 2018. Over the course of my last job, I have gained experience that encompasses probing complex financial and tax frauds allegedly perpetrated by individuals and corporations.
I have ingrained expertise in accounting principles and techniques, and the capacity to apply them in analyzing fundamental manuals and electronic books and records to find and filter evidence of fraud indicator such as tax evasion. In developing evidence of tax frauds, I have used a wide array of database such as TECS, NCIC, EPIC and CBRS among others. I have skills in developing information gained from the stated databases and other investigative activities mainly by employing word processors, spreadsheets and graphics software.
I have taken part in planning and conducting interviews of informants including assisting in the interview processes of principals and third parties. Regarding this, my job entailed administering handwriting and hand-printing exemplars as requested by specials agents. Besides, as a significant player in the interview processes, I have partaken in the preparation of memoranda of interviews for review and approval by special agents.

I have aptly grasped the technicalities required in preparing and conducting interviews from the beginning to the conclusion in cases that I am assigned.
I have operational knowledge of the Internal Revenue Manual, Internal Revenue Code, and the US code and circulars about tax fraud and the associated processes. Besides, I have an ingrained operating knowledge of pertinent statutes and decisions arrived at by the various US courts. Through a combination of work experience and education, I have attained knowledge concerning policies and guidelines on criminal tax investigations and criminal procedures, guiding principles on criminal tax investigations, and criminal exploratory techniques.
I have experience working under least supervision, and I can also work independently to produce reliable work solutions. Individually, I can plan an investigation from the preplanning, assessment, development, report generation, and issuance and conclusion. However, I understand the need and importance of teamwork in fast-tracking job assignments.
I perform research, analysis, and evaluation of intelligence and other law enforcement data which consequently has enabled me to prepare documents for presentation and portions of more extensive studies conducted by special agents. As directed, I have participated in gathering data and conducting limited explorations on authorized investigations. With the collected data, I have acquired expertise in making determinations and dispositions, issue recommendations on the decisions and provisions and also assist lead agents on project research.
With the stated work know-how, I can discharge any mandate which requires me to collect, develop, examine, and distribute, information pertaining violation of tax regulations. I can analyze received data, restructure missing data to support any criminal investigations that the department will endeavor to actualize (Investigative Analyst 1). Besides, I have expertise in obtaining data from various government and private repositories and compile them into actionable reports that the department will use in its various endeavors. I can also aptly brief and interact with government officials and industry representatives in a bid to discharge my mandate.
I believe in having an open-door policy which allows agents, TFO and other professional staff to access any help regarding their assignments. I consistently and collaboratively work closely with others including management analyst to ensure that CIMIS is up to date. I also voluntarily share knowledge and skills within my workplace.
