Ninian Smart proposes seven dimensions that can be used to define the different religions in existence. The same dimensions will serve as the basis for creating another religion called realism. According to the first aspect that states the need to have practices one adheres to in the religious walk of faith realism dictates that the reality of life has to be faced by enjoying every bit of living. Getting involved in activities bringing self-fulfillment is thus the practice involved. Secondly, the emotional and experimental aspect says that we should get into the feelings brought by the religion (Smart 70-275). In realism, one appreciates the feeling of fulfillment gained from their actions.
Thirdly, the mythic dimension suggests a story behind every religion. In realism, the real-life experiences of people are used as testimony to direct life. The fourth dimension tackles the importance of doctrine in every faith while the fifth and sixth dimensions talk of the ethical and legal as well as social and institutional aspects. Finally, the material dimension finalizes the analysis of religion. According to the doctrines we acknowledge the reality of the importance of life since we only live once while ethics makes us embrace the moral values as we live with one another (Smart 70-275). Ultimately, the social aspect makes us interact with the society we live in positively as the material exposes us to the things of the world that ensure we live life to the fullest.

Wait! Make your own religion paper is just an example!

The faith guiding realism is similar to the requirements of Buddhism, Hinduism and New Age spirituality that enable individuals to strive for their own perfection spiritually. In realism, you choose what you want for your own life. It is different from Islam which warrants laws to be followed. This faith hopes to make people see the importance of living life to the utmost and avoiding wasting time of things of no significance. This fact is the drive behind following this faith (Smart 573-586). In the world today it is applicable to mostly the youth who love life and the opportunities it offers.
