IntroductionThe current society is fighting many forms of diseases, especially the mental diseases. In this case, more concern should be given on the rising trends that cause these types of diseases to sprout up in this kind of alarming rate. It would be easier to kill the causes than deal with damages.
With today’s society retrograde amnesia, Broca’s aphasia and Wicker’s aphasia are three mental conditions that are quite prevalent. Retrograde amnesia is a condition whereby a person experiences a loss of memory to the things learnt in the past and the past experiences. This is normally caused by a severe injury that leads to the damage of the brain and also the onset of a disease. In this case, it will cause a condition of a memory loss. Also, it is caused by Korsakoff syndrome and a person suffering from anterograde amnesia. In this case, it will cause a condition whereby the brain cells associated with storing memories are destroyed. In this case, a person will experience a loss of memory (“Memory Loss (amnesia) – NHS Choices”). Broca’s aphasia is a condition whereby a person loses the ability to produce language, both written and spoken. In this case, a person giving the speech will lose some of the insignificant words and only produce the content in a speech. In this case, as the person produces the speech, he/she does it halting and using more effort in the process. Wernicke’s aphasia is a type of mental disorder in which a person loses an understanding of the language in both spoken and written form (“What is aphasia? What causes aphasia? – Medical News Today,”)
In the contemporary society, these mental conditions are quite prevalent.

With the advanced technology, and medical research, they can easily be contained. For instance, the poor speech formation can be contained through training and proper sessions that will assist In ensuing that the person is able to communicate. During the past years, such people would be given less relevance in the society and termed as unfit to serve in leadership positions. They were alienated in the society, but with the current age, more and more people are getting to understand and appreciate the conditions and instead of producing stigma, they support the patients.
The retrograde amnesia is quite relevant in the society today. With the current working generation, many people are having sleepless nights and in the process take a lot of sleeping pills. One of the causes of retrograde amnesia is the excessive use of sleeping drugs. It is therefore that many people have high chances of contracting this kind of amnesia. In the near future, if people do not change their lifestyles, it might cause several cases of the mental disorder. Also, in the near future, it might become more prevalent. This is because of the lifestyle diseases associated with the disorders. One of the diseases associated with the mental disorder is heart attack. With the current prevalence of lifestyle diseases such as heart attack, the mental disorder could take its toll ( James, 2007).
Additional research is needed in the area that the mental disorders are related with the lifestyle diseases such as heart attacks. This is because; the current society is living dangerous kinds of lifestyles that are detrimental to their health. In this case, a society that spends most of its time working with little time resting is one that would attract a high rate of amnesia and aphasia.
