Introduction
Currently, I have just received my high school diploma IB, from the New School, International school of Georgia. I am awaiting my results in July, specifically my certificate, but I have the high school diploma already. I aspire to become a film director and am applying in the university EICAR.
HIGH SCHOOL YEAR MOTIVATION
My aspiration and career ambition to become a film director is not a flash in the pan. It took shape during my high school years only when I was being grounded in a psychology course, which has a high relevance in filming. The most vibrant examples are the Hitchcock movies which are entirely based on the intriguing aspects of the human mind. Although I have no direct experience in this area, watching films and reading books in great numbers, have shaped my interest to a great level. I will try my utmost to utilize these in filmmaking, once I enroll for this in the university.
MY COMING UNIVERSITY DAYS
I am applying for a Bachelor’s degree, in Fine Arts, for an intense 3-year program. The university has 5 core areas of filmmaking, namely-screenwriting, cinematography, directing, editing and production management. The first year requires all these modules to be studied, and in the second year, I can choose a special area, of which would be film-making or as said generally, film directing, i.e. becoming a director by occupation.
A director has to be a jack of all trades, in the film sector, and a master too, considerably.

Wait! Motivation letter paper is just an example!

That is why in the first year an entire range of modules are taught, directing being one of them. He manages his entire crew, puts his ideas into form hence he has to have the aesthetic sense coupled with word skills, as determined by script-writing, editing, screen writing, and to a certain extent set design and costume designs.
I am very much interested in making films, about personal and social relationships and events, in the form of comedies or tragedies. For instance, a student’s first day at college, or how he deals with first heartbreak in a love affair, or may be a long lost son coming back home to his family. I would like to explore the personal background of war veterans and put that on the silver screen. Another very rampant area is high school years and the problems faced by adolescents. Beverly Hills 90210 is a great example. I am open to both the small screen and big screen. I feel the small screen is a very effective medium, in putting forward the social issues and their environmental impact. Wild Western films are one favourite category of mine, where apart from the personal sense of adventure, lifestyle, family network, the whole environmental backdrop and nature can be beautifully portrayed. It shows a history too, of how the first immigrants came and worked on the land, to build up the zone, facing indescribable hardships.
CONCLUSION
A director has a message for the society, depending upon the quality of his films. Mass media is a sure way of developing mass consciousness, and I hope to contribute something in this field after I complete my film studies from the University. My focus would be on personal issues, serious but with the lighter side, and that which does display the larger social framework.
