My Professional Credo
I am a person who believes in true and robust values. Founded on ethical principles, I believe in living in a manner that I maintain harmony with others in society. My purpose is to contribute positively to whatever position I am called to serve. I seek to lead a principled life where actions are ethically led and add to the welfare of others. I anticipate to make a difference and contribute positively to the people near me.
My purpose in life manifests through my career in that I consider a value-based relationship where I can contribute positively to the organization that I work in the community I live. I intend to use the values I have gained to contribute positively to the people who are disadvantaged. Participating in social programs that assist the weak members of the society form one of the goals of my life. I am grounded in believing that each one in society deserves a chance to live a good life. Thus, I plan to make a positive contribution to the community which will be critical in achieving this purpose.
I plan to live my grounding by committing to the goals I have set. For example, when I was five, my objective was to become a professor, despite not knowing what the professional was all about. Even though my interests have shifted, I plan to remain committed to my career to attain success. In particular, I intend to remain committed to helping the people in society through social work. I believe this is my calling since I am always empathetic of others whenever I see them suffering.

Wait! My Professional Credo paper is just an example!

I arrived at my credo by doing an honest assessment of myself. I believe that I am the determiner of my moral and ethical standing. My credo also reflects the genuine interests that I think I have held since childhood. My parents helped to build the ethical standards I uphold, and this was instrumental in developing the credo.
Ethics are relevant in business practice in that they provide that decisions made are right and moral. The business ethics are inspirational to what I want to be since they align with the principles I hold. I must make choices to remain ethical by selecting courses of action that promote the general welfare. For example, when I am handling sensitive customer information, I must ensure that I use the information exclusively as intended to avoid violating the confidentiality of the customer.
In the next 3-4 months, I expect to live out my credo by familiarizing myself with ethical values and living by them. I aspire to join a corporate social responsibility group to contribute more to society. I will participate in the corporate social responsibility organized by the organization that I work to contribute to social welfare. The activities occur in poor neighborhoods, environmentally degraded areas, and hospitals. Together with other members of my organization, and volunteers, we anticipate making these initiatives more purposeful and inspirational. However, I need to spend more time in training to improve my job skills. I aspire to assume the duties of being the corporate manager. Thus, I plan to take more responsibilities and participate in training programs to achieve the purpose.
Regarding my relationship with the colleagues, I plan to engage in social and work groups to learn more from them about their aspirations, and values. I plan to develop relationships that are stimulating and educating since they will enable me to achieve social goals. I need to improve regarding my adherence to laws. I regularly find myself in conflicts of interest whenever I pursue personal goals that conflict with the law which leads to problems.
I believe there is more work to be done on environmental performance. My organization does not have a framework for environmental protection an often as the production facilities produce pollutants that harm the environment. Investing in green initiatives and conservation activities is critical in achieving ecological sustainability.
I anticipate being called to make decisions regarding corporate social responsibility in the next three to six months. When I am called, I endeavor to push for more policies for corporate social responsibility including environmental conservation which is part of ethics. I will raise awareness of such initiatives to my colleagues and management to ensure that the decisions are implemented.
