The relationship between old age and health
There has been a deep belief all over the United States that indeed old people in most cases are likely to get sick and in most cases they are sickly. Most people hold to the myth that older adults are sick in most cases. The myth up to some extent is true. This is because old people have a weak immune system that makes them susceptible to diseases. The defense system of the body grows weak with time, and as one becomes old, his/her body is unable to adequately defend the body against diseases and disease-causing micro-organisms (Gross 2008).
The program that has been rolled out by the government of the United States of America in ensuring that old people receive adequate medical attention is one of the critical implementations in the health sector. However, most health institutions in the country have taken advantage of this program to treat imaginary diseases among the old people in the society. As much as old people tend to be sickly in most cases, however, there is a percentage of them who rarely get sick. Medical institutions understand these and have resorted to treating imaginary diseases to reap from the government program. The reports on such cases have been made (Gross 2008).
We should, therefore, be cautious on matters dealing with old age and their health to ensure that the medical institutions only offer exemplary services to affected and sick people.

Wait! Nursing paper is just an example!

Health care systems in the country should provide services just meant for the old people and with extreme care and precaution. This will ensure that old people are taken care well without minding their financial status (Gross 2008).
